I heard AJ Ricker was involved. But probably won’t be hired.

Ok another speculation, Rocky Long the head coach at San Diego St just retired, and he was hired by AD Sterk, when Sterk was at SDSU and Brady Hoke is coming back to coach SDSU, and he plans to make a lot of changes.

There might be an O line coach in that group.

I wouldn't have a problem with Ricker. Henson and Pinkel overriding his choice to play Adams and Pendleton early even though Hall and Chappelle werent SEC quality linemen was a huge mistake.

Has Rob Sale from Louisiana been mentioned? I would take him.

Sale is putting a solid body of work together and is making $325K as the OC and Oline coach. Davis got $400K last year. It's a matter of the coach's take on more money for a little less responsibility.

Maybe Drinkwitz is looking in the NFL as well? I know he will get the right guy for the job he wants to run the offense and have the OL coach get on the same page. So far Drinkwitz have done a great job of putting up a very solid staff so far.

New O Line Coach Marcus Johnson

A nine-year coaching veteran in all, Johnson was first an All-SEC offensive lineman in his playing days at Ole Miss, and later played in 53 NFL games (making 18 starts) over five years with Minnesota and Tampa Bay.

The past two seasons saw Johnson work with the Bulldog offensive linemen,

Some pieces certainly had to fall in place to get him but I really like him as the final addition to the staff.

I can see why Leach wouldn't want to keep him. The guy teaches run blocking.

Seems like they really liked him at Miss. St.
They have some decent high school players in Mississippi.

To you... How do you see his past meshing with Drink's schemes?

To you or any... Is he seen as a good or great recruiter?

His background, age and pedigree all seem ideal.

Time to fill out this class with a few big uglies on both lines and other gems!

If you look at what Cutcliffe and Moorehead build their running games off of it looks like a great fit. Duke's running game is built off inside zone. Moorehead's running game at both Penn State and MSU is built off split zone. Drink's running game is primarily inside zone but he used several split zone concepts as well.

When you get the chance, share your opinion as to what an offense of Drink/Luper/Johnson will look like VS a BO offense.

Thanks and for the first time in a decade, I'm looking forward to the Spring game.
