Looks like Nebraska will be another team looking for a new coach. The money men weren't going to let Eichorst hire another FB coach.

I think everyone is getting way ahead of yourselves in this coach search. First off, it ain't gonna happen till the end of this year if it happens at all! If we win 4-5 more games, Odom will be back next year. Now, with the crap I've seen on the field, winning 4-5 may be very tough, or nearly impossible, but, there's still that chance!

Sterk has already begun the process of finding out who is interested.

The people up here are drooling for the school to hire Trev Alberts as the AD so he can hire Scott Frost and the Hot Tub Time Machine can be complete.

Maybe, maybe not. Nubs just extended Riley thru 2020.

However, Les Miles son is a fullback for the Nubs. Kurt Warner's son also is a Nub

Riley has a pretty fat buyout if I remember correctly.

Let them hire Miles. That would work out great, I'm sure.

It's a million bucks to buy him out. His extension means nothing.

Saw that a lot of the Nubs nation is pulling for Alberts, in spite of the warnings coming from fans of his current school in Omaha.

Looks like he is closer to being universally hated than universally liked there.

He has pissed off a lot of people at UNO but he is one of Tom's boys. Being "one of us" will override a few ruffled feathers in Omaha.

Do you have any proof of that at all? I can't and don't believe that to be true. I think it's more like wishful thinking on this board! Because, if he was actually doing that even on the down low, that would be bush league at best by our AD! And I don't truly think he's Bush!

No, it wouldn't.

The only other person getting fired in the SEC this year is Butch Jones.

Ole Miss has already fired their coach, Sumlin and Jones probably get fired as well. Florida and Arkansas fans aren't very happy with their coaches, but they probably stay put.
Outside the SEC Notre Dame and maybe Nebraska will be getting new coaches.

He'll if you went to any other SEC team board, probably 12 of the 14 want their coach fired! I said earlier, that an AD out shopping for a new coach without the current coaches knowledge would be Bush league! I don't think Sterk is, but I do think there's a lot of bush on this board!!!

That's how ADs work. They contact agents, and gauge interest. Often that happens before the position is officially open.
