I hope he recovers but this will be a good opportunity to hit the books.

Would Strong have been our #2 RB this year as a True Frosh if he made the grades? I'm excited about him

When is he expected to graduate from JUCO? Hope he recovers fully.

He's expected to come to Mizzou next August. Broke his arm running over a player last week at his JUCO game. From what I've read, Walters should be our #2 but had the ACL tear in the spring and won't be back until early October. Strong would have pushed for #2 if he was here. We need Stewart and Abbington to get up to speed, Witter is not the answer. Dude goes down way to easy and seems to lack a burst through the hole.

The thing that worries me about Strong is that he had a sort of injury plagued high school career. We need to look for another good rb with some size and speed to go along with Darious Anderson for 2016.

Don't want to start a new thread...

So how does processing work exactly. The team seems to have a glut of RB's that just don't have what it takes. Can the coaching staff just say goodbye to 2-3 of them and reload with 2017 recruits? Is it that easy or does there have to be other factors? Can you tell Abbington "we need you to hit the weights and make progress by such and such date or it's goodbye?" Can you process Witter for going down easily? Can someone explain it to me plz? Thx

He's expected in January. Or spring semester. He enrolled in juco early....

As far as wtodd suggesting he's stupid. I'm not saying he is a genius but he did graduate hs. Early

Witter is a third down back. Good running in open space. Not great vision or power, but great in pass protection.

Steward would of been a #1 back, but had injuries.

Abbington needs a year with Dr. Ivy, he could be a beast next year, if he puts in the work. If not look for Walters & Doherty to lead the team.

What about a medical redshirt? Can you get those in juco? It's sucks for him to be out all year but if he can get one. The bright side is he would have 4 years of eligiblity at mizzou

I'm actually holding out hope that Steward can contribute this year more so than Witter. I watched the replay the other day and thought he didn't look as bad as peeps were saying. He really didn't have a ton of opportunities.

in all honesty that is MUCH BETTER news than an acl tear or achilles blowout..

if he's going to graduate in a year and a half, even at juco, his time probably is better spent in the books.

I'm also ready to start second guessing pulling of Dohertys redshirt at this point, is he likely to be around any longer than Drew Lock?

I saw a carry by Abbington in the game against SEMO and he just bulldozed through some tacklers and he didn't get a bit of blocking. Arky St. d-line is way better than SEMO and our o-line better get it together quickly. Even though Arky St. was blown out by USC, their d-line was pretty good fast and athletic.

You talking about the one that Abbington missed the hole, ran into his OL, & fell forward for 5 yards? That was his only carry and it was in garbage time.

Backup rbs were running into linemen being pushed back all day getting a yard or two all game, so I'll take the garbage 5 yards. The o-line needs to play better and especially against a lower division school.
