are you trying to say this is on Martin ?

Jesus stick to football. The first half was bad. Did you expect to win on the road against a top 20ish team? Because they almost did. Tilmon’s 1st 3rd and 4th were as soft as it gets. The second if you want to argue he was sliding great. Then call it all game long and we won’t have players to play the game.

As was the end of regulation and OT
That’s why we lost. We played too much bad basketball. This stuff isn’t hard.
Now hopefully, they just played a bad game and these issues won’t plague them all season (again)
I truly do believe this team can be pretty good, but until they can get away from these same issues they won’t get there. They’ve got to be better offensively and they’ve got to stop with the god damn turnovers.

Yes road games are tough, cute meme. Glad we’ve got the usuals back after a game. Both teams looked terrible in the first half. Not so much in the second. kY lost to Evansville at home. It’s not football, long season. Too bad homeboy cashed that 3 at the end of regulation. Otherwise we’ve got a nice feather in our cap come tourney time.

Indeed, delicious dichotomy here.

We have some true idiots populating this board.

If only JQ had these kinds of expectations for the football program.
You truly are a clown.

What expectations? To not play like shite? Yes, I sure do.
Let me break this down for the slow crowd here.
It IS entirely possible to be critical of coaching without wanting them fired or completely shitting on them at every opportunity. It CAN be done.i understand that a lot of folks here don’t have the mental capacity to go beyond “hur dur, the coach sucks” but there is available nuance for anyone who cares to put at least minimal thought into the matter.
My goodness, it’s an echo chamber of dumb in here sometimes.
Let me make my position crystal clear in regards to Cuonzo for you guys here since you’re having such a tough time.
Pros: He’s a man of incredible character. He’s tough. He’s a fighter. His teams take on his personality and play their asses off. They don’t quit. They play very solid defense. He truly does give a shite about developing these young men in aspects not pertaining to basketball. He’s a good dude. He has got Mizzou back into St Louis, although I expected more but maybe that’s my fault.
Cons: His teams don’t play well on the offensive end. Really never have with few exceptions. Ever since he’s been here we’ve been awful with turnovers, end game situations, and completely fall apart when we are pressed. Again, with few exceptions. These are called trends. They are bad and I’m sure he’s working to improve them but up to this point it’s not working. These things have to improve or we won’t.
So no, when we play like shite and have the same issues plague us that always have I don’t view that as progress because it’s not.

I like Barry and am not ready to throw in the towel but I will say this. I’ve been extremely embarrassed by our football losses. Other than Cuonzos first loss to Illinois I haven’t been nearly as embarrassed by our basketball program than by our football program.

JQ,
I'm not sure how you tolerate being on this site with those of us for whom you have to "break this down for the slow crowd" in this "echo chamber of dumb." But since you do, despite dealing with the "folks here who don't have the mental capacity"...I can only assume it's because of your strong sense of noblesse oblige that keeps you among such a gauche crowd of know-nothings.
Carry on good and noble sir.

It’s not easy sometimes, but thank you for your words of encouragement. They ARE appreciated

Nicely done! A literal yet subtle man.

It was nice to see them play a physical Bigeast club down to the wire in their building.
But, they did not play well, they shot like crap from floor and 3. 20 turnovers, 8 assists
I don't know why they cannot finish a game off, especially with the ball and chance to end it.

Mark Smith panicked on the final shot. He had 5 seconds. Rushed his shot and it had no chance of going in.

I’d like to see them attack the rim, easier said than done though.
Posted on 11/13/19 at 6:22 pm to seaniec04
The players that can attack the rim aren’t good enough to get minutes yet. The 2 exceptions are Dru Smith and Pinson.
If McKinney ever develops any kind of jumper watch out. He can get to the lane at will.

Holy fricking Dogshit.
My friend, I have said the exact same thing (probably almost word for word) in football threads when talking about BO but you never seem to accept that. Instead, everyone is a nega-Tiger. I'm hoping you can take this same understanding and apply it across the board. Not just basketball.

When Gonzo came the rap on him was he was a good defensive coach, good guy, good recruiter that could not run an offense and whose teams always underperformed because of that. So far, that is exactly what we've gotten. Weird.
Now do a pros and cons for Barry
(It's a chance to earn even more respect from literalist). I know he can't wait
