Anyone know any additional information other than the nothing that is floating around on the Rant?

Haven't seen anything. Maybe waiting on more details for the death notification of family first as someone died and 5 others were shot.

We can't have nice things.

According to the guys at STL Sports Central, it was a rap concert at a biker bar in Miss. (Weird combo all the way around). Crazy early in the morning.
Not the way to start an offseason when you want to be thought of as a Heisman possibility.

Shot while fleeing in his car. Apparently his former HS football teammates are suspects?

I am wondering if person did it in revenge for choosing Mizzou over both Mississippi and Mississippi State.

The police already said it was a kansas fan.

Hardy took a FMJ to his femur. I dont think he plays a down this year. Good thing they were able to retain Roberts.

Dang it.
That falls into the same category as Van Zant blowing a knee in an All Star game after the season.

It went though his wallet but assuming he was less than 20 yds from the muzzle, the bullet had at least 90% of its discharge energy (340ish ft-lbs at 118 gr) when it made impact. They had to repair the femur and considerable soft tissue damage. I just dont see him being ready and that's assuming no nerve damage.

Looks like he's returning to Columbia today. Hopefully he makes a Brian Robinson type of recovery.

Going to be a big competition for the #2 reps between Fonoti and Edwards.

I can't verify the source of this - as it is from an audio clip a friend forwarded. I don't even know who was doing the talking, it sounded like maybe the morning after STL guys - they claimed and referred to Gabe DeArmond and said the info was from a Donor who was "mentoring" Ahmad Hardy and was "with" him (I assume at the hospital, not the concert). For what it is worth...
- Bullet went through his wallet (did not say what pocket the wallet was in)
- It was a "full metal jacket" bullet
- It did penetrate to the femur, then ricocheted further into soft tissue
- An otho surgeon "repaired" the femur (no specifics on what that meant)
- Another surgeon cleared and reparied the soft tissue damage
- It missed his femural artery by about 1/4"
- It did not reach vital organs (they specfically said it missed colon/bladder)
- It did not hit the sciatic nerve (which could have been really bad)
- They said wait at least 4 weeks before even starting to think about timing for return, but that he should be able to fully recover
Not a doctor - but pretty sure the sciatic nerve runs down the back side, the femural artery is in the front, and the colon/bladder are in the lower abdomen/pelvic cavity - so the fact they referenced all of those makes me concerned it bounced around quite a bit. Of course, this could all be BS.

the person who said this was like the director of recruiting or a similar role with the program

At least those two will get plenty of practice reps between now and the beginning of the season.

Wonder if the Kentucky kid is regretting his decision to look for greener pastures now. Did not see enough of him to really get a sense if he was in the same league of running back as Hardy and Roberts.

The Laurel Police Department and Ahmad Hardy.
I just notice that Laurel and Hardy was the two key name and you put them together and it rang a bell about the movie Laurel and Hardy. Was that coincidence?
