I agree Breakaway. They are not 8 wins bad. They might be .500 bad or just under that, but not 8 wins bad.

I think you have been relentless on your negativity towards Kim (meaning overboard), but I agree wholeheartedly with this statement.

It goes without saying that I think KA earned that negativity this year. I also hope that KA gets it turned around because that is the quickest route to Mizzou hoops being relevant again. I might be skeptical if he can do that, but that's because of 8 wins and what I see as a recruiting class so far that is on par with a mid major university. He'll get plenty of credit from me when and if he accomplishes something.

I understand bro, and no disrespect. If anything, it shows how obvious you care about the basketball program.

C. I did not expect much from the team this year. 17 wins overall and 8 wins in SEC play should be the goal for next year.

Our OOC is brutal. We're not winning 11 OOC games.

Anyone who thinks this team should have been a .500 team this year is out of touch with reality.

.500 was the max before Cam & TJ left the team.

Ohhh c'mon. He gets 4 years. This is his freshman year. You don't get an incomplete after your freshman year.

F no more need be said

An F? They did win a few games, and at least one was against a team that should have squared them up and knocked them into next year (LSU). They also had a few close losses that if they made the shots would have been wins. (pump'n sunshine here)

I'd give him a D grade for this year. He needs a C grade next year to get through to his third year and then at that had better be in the B to A range after his third year.

And I got a few answers right on that test but the professor still told me that a 26% was an F. I kid. He did do some good things. LSU. UF. Kept some guys.

Hoping his meeting with Bryant goes well today. He just needs something to change the momentum and the mojo.

C-. I expected better, but even Haith knew this was going to be a bad year, which is why he bolted.

but that's because of 8 wins

I know you're down on KA, but don't be taking wins away from him. We actually won 9.

I believe we have some talent, but name a team besides Kentucky that had as many freshmen and sophomores playing substantial minutes and went .500 or better? It's a short list.

Young guys do stupid stuff. Anybody think that is partially the reason for all the suspensions? I liked the puppy analogy somebody used before. You have to get their attention and let them know who's boss. Not fun short-term, but well worth it in the long run.

I am convinced KA is the right man for the job, and .500 is a reasonable expectation for next year.

I wouldn't count a win against a CYC team and didn't count the win against a D2 school. I know some rankings count the win and I know that some don't.

I believe we have talent too. More than what KA got out of them at least. Teams younger than Mizzou besides UK:

Vandy
UAB
Seton Hall
kU
Indiana
Michigan
Vermont
UNLV
Purdue
Duke
Utah State
Stony Brook
James Madison
Pepperdine
UCLA
LSU

Very few of those had more than 4 juniors and seniors on the team like Mizzou had.

I hope KA is the right guy. The alternative isn't pretty. .500 has always been my expectation for NEXT year. It was never my expectation for THIS year. THIS year my expectation was double digit wins with some consistent signs of improvement. We got neither, whether you count the D2 win or not.

Reedus,

You are comparing teams had had as many juniors and seniors as Mizzou. Why. Have we not all agreed are seniors are backups, Shamburger a good backup. Rosburg a backup. The Baylor transfer looks like the last man at the end of the bench.Forgot his name.

I decided to check one team on your list. I picked Purdue because of the Painer connection. Their leading scorer and rebounder is a junior. Their 2nd leading scorer a junior, 3rd leading scorer a senior.

Bello.

No doubt some of them have better juniors and seniors. But to say ours didn't start isn't quite fair either.

Shamburger started 31 games. Rosburg 17 and Post 9. So essentially, your 1 and your 5 were upper classmen. As to why they didn't do better...I guess that's up for debate. I would suggest it was a combination of lack of talent and coaching. I don't think it's as easy as saying it's all on one or the other.
