Maybe that's the plan for building depth? Or putting the QBs in adverse situations to see who steps up to make those around them better? Keeping the #1s healthy? All three?

Perhaps Darris Smith's injury last year is playing into Drink being extra cautious this year in camp.

You are probably right. The way drink talks about the defense makes it sound like this could be an all timer of a front 7.

Pribula and Horn seem to be good guys and team players. I am glad I don't have to decide who the starter is.
Mike Elko at Texas A&M went 7 - 1 last year when he split playing time between Weigman and Reed. Just a thought.
Conner Weigman injured his shoulder in the first game of the year against Notre Dame in 2024. He played through it and did well against Missouri. I think Milroe and Brady Cook played through some kind of early season injuries last year. There is always room on a team for good quarterbacks.

Both QBs were named captains, which is kind of odd. They have 9 total captains which is also odd.
Peagler is a large dude. If he has the feet to get into the second level run blocking he, can take linebackers for a ride.
It sounds like Mizzou has got another gem out of Lebanon. Wilson playing at an SEC level behind Tollison is a nice problem to have.

We are back to being D-Line Zou.
Both offensive tackles from last year, Bryant and Membou went to the nfl.
With Green and Tollison being projected as NFL draftees this year at guard and center a case could be made we are O-Line Zou now to.

I'm beginning to think we could see both QBs a lot until Carolina. I have a feeling Drink is already game-planning kU and has BOTH QBs in the plan.
Both guys playing well is the biggest part of it, but I also look back to last year's game at aTm and how we responded to Weigman at QB, when we'd prepped for the other dude all week.
Another possibility in all of this? I'm bored out of my mind and speculation is all we've got until kickoff.
How ready am I for football season?I'm actually looking forward to watching kU's week 0 game on Saturday. First time I have ever wanted to watch those miserable bastards.

Yea they were 7 - 1 using using both QBs. Then Weigman's shoulder got so bad they could only play Reed. After that, for whatever reasons, they went 1 - 4 their last 5 games. Reed was only a RS Freshman last year. Should be better this year.

Any thoughts? Expecting Pribula but hoping it’s Horns job to lose. I know nothing but loyalty should be rewarded.

Have never seen Pribula play QB ... so maybe he'll be an upside surprise.
Biggest disappointment would be Drink picking Pribula and the offense looking like 23-24 with no way to take the top off defenses ... all zone runs, QB designed runs and bubble screens ...
I hope Horn gets a look ... cannon arm, decent legs and honestly his biggest challenge was his maturity when he got to mizzou

I’ve only seen a few clips here and there of each QB. If it’s an even race, I hope they reward Horn for his loyalty.

From the practice footage I've seen Pribula seems a little more fluid and has a quicker release on the perimeter screen type of throws. He gets the ball out quickly, but accurately. They both seem accurate on all of the other throws I've seen.
They can both move well, but Pribula likely has a better feel for the QB run game. I'm also going to assume Horn has the edge in throwing the ball down the field, but I also doubt Pribula would win the job if he couldn't get the job done in that department.
I'm thinking Pribula is the starter, but Horn will see the field quite a bit in the first few weeks.

The guy who has had the most RZ success during camp will likely get the nod. With the limited amount of competition the media has seen that is Pribula. That's only a 20 minute window of 3 weeks worth of competition.

I just cant ignore how much more we have paid Horn than Pribula and Horn turned down some portal offers to stay. I think Horn has an ever so slight advantage if all other things are equal.

If I were scripting the 1st half, I'd give Sam the first 3 series, the next 3 series to Beau, then go from there. I think it's important that they both play when the game is still in doubt.
