The OL got dominated for the most part when the coaches went full on retard and played with tempo. Even when it wasn't with tempo, they'd sprint from the huddle and snap the ball real fast. Both led to the OL playing from their heals. Just stupid play calling.

What? We has new OC? Barry Odom doing fantastic. You must not be fan of Barry Odom and Missouri. You hurt recruiting.

I don’t want to read too much into this game. I’ll be over it by the time my head hits the pillow in 2019.

But it’s just exactly what we’ve come to expect from an Odom team.

So true. In-game coaching decisions always seem ready to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory.

(Probably literally just a few dropped catches.)

Just as likely 3 games of the coaches dropping the ball as players dropping it. Improvement? Slightly yes. Credit given for getting Bryant. But blame when he shits the bed too.

He’s tried to hire name people for coordinators. The SEC squashed hiring High Freeze, Mizzou going cheap on contracts 2 other potential OC hires last January.

If you want a name coordinator, we have to be willing to pay for them.

Once again, start slow, finish strong, piss away the Bowl. Now it's a pattern.

If they start slow next year, they're fricked. It's the first time I can remember their tougher games coming later in the season.

Where’s this ego stuff come from? Everyone I have talked to that works in the AD says there’s nothing to that.

See. There you go once again. Unless I'm reading you wrong, you're saying he doesn't have an ego. That's an overstatement just to defend BO.

Everyone has an ego in that position or at least should. Saban sure as hell has an ego. The question is whether or not that ego is going unchecked or writing checks his arse can't cash, which is what I think 808's point was. I won't speak for him though.

No it didn’t. We’re paying Dooley $900,000. Jedd Fisch isn’t making that at UCLA. Why do you make shite up?

Derek Dooley is the 27th highest paid assistant in the county. He’s close to the top 10 offensive coordinators salary (almost all the top 10 overall are defensive coordinators).

As you said everyone has an ego, what’s the source of Odom’s ego preventing him from succeeding? None of the people I have spoken to within the AD think it’s an issue. And my previous job which I left about a month ago led me to interacting with someone from the AD almost daily.

No. But we’re paying a guy with no OC experience top 15 money. There’s no way to pretend we didn’t offer enough money.

This was basically Texas without the excuse of our O Coordinator leaving. Odom's stock takes a hit.

This game was not on the offense. It was not pretty or efficient, but they scored 33 points. And they did it mostly without their #1 receiver, again.

It was not the offense that let OSU turn this into a Big 12 game. Apparently took the defense until the 4th Quarter to realize they were playing today.

OSU's 2nd string RB would have only had 50 yds rushing if we could tackle. We would have had 3-4 more sacks if we could tackle.
And let's not talk about the fact that our CBs are upgrades over what we saw last year or we all may have to check ourselves into a facility for depression.
The offense deserved a W. Rountree deserved bowl MVP.
Defense and defensive coaching picked a bad game to not show up until the final quarter.
