I do think this has a relatively high ceiling, but also a disgustingly low floor.

I would say his draft predicitions will keep Lock back for another year. Silver lining.

As a hire, this isn’t bad. He will be either an incredible choice or Odom’s Achilles heel. I have hopes.

Either he is a great OC or we get rid of Odom. Either way, we win.

Why? Seriously

I can't find one redeeming quality. I've looked, believe me.

Either we get an awesome sleeper OC, or we get rid of Odom. This isn’t a safe choice.

Either way we win.

Welcome to the BoBack mountain brigade lol.

I can’t believe Sterk allowed this BS.

Consider Lock for certain gone for the NFL now. He won’t learn jack shite from this clown.

Odom still trying to convince people he’s the smartest man on the planet.

Gentlemen,

I posted this before. What decent OC is moving the family to Columbia and hitching their wagon to BO. The last half of the schedule got BO to keep his job, but there is a good chance the seat heats up next year. Florida and UT will be better and Georgia is built for the long haul. My only suprise is that he didn't pull a spread guy from Nevada or some school like that.

As a hire, its underwhelming. Even if you wanted to maintain the play action, vertical passing game while adding counter and power to the established zone blocking there are multiple people that could have helped implement it with QB coaching and play calling experience.

It seems like an all in move on his exposure to Garret's offense. An all in move similar to hiring Cross.

Hope he got this one right.

This is great hire.

Means BO will be out the door sooner rather than later.

No one has mentioned that the guy cannot recruit worth a shite. He left UT with nothing.

Garrett’s Offense or his ducking all pro O-Line that could probably run any scheme but was still garbage without Elliot.

I sure AF can’t see him running a spread. Certainly won’t be the tempo offense. The MU spread looks dead.

The roster Butch took over had more than 30 4* players on it even with the entire 2012 skill group leaving early. All 5 of the 2012 linemen are playing in the NFL. Dooley was a dismal failure but he left a decent roster for the next staff.

This is a huge risk for BO.

quote:

The last time Dooley was associated with a college offense, it was the tremendous 2012 Tennessee attack led by offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and featuring Tyler Bray and receivers Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson. It ranked 10th in Off. S&P+ and was quite fun to watch. (Unfortunately for Dooley, his defense fell apart that year.)

That’s the closest thing I could find positive about the hire.
