#18Transfer Portal Class

It was 14 when I made the post and was #18 2 minutes later. The average recruit ranking is higher than 6 of the teams ranked above them.

Rankings don't matter ...

Coach "Google Me" has the formula.

Get older players who are smarter, experienced and execute your scheme.

He is a master "coach." We dont have that. So talent matters a whole lot more for us than Indiana.

EDIT: We are back down to 26th.

We’re at 26th when looking at all incoming players (portal and high school), 15th when just looking at the portal.

Agreed.

Hoping Drink starts to understand the new model ...

If not, he'll be back at a G5 cause his scheme don't work at P5 level.

They were discussing this on The Dan Patrick Show the other day.

Talking heads still get more excited over unproven 5-star recruits than transfers that have excelled in college for 3-years that came in as 3-stars. For too many, that initial rating gets locked in to their heads and they can't see past it. Even with real production to actually judge.

Actual production over potential has a strong argument.

It’s a never ending arms race.

Standing in a SEC school’s practice facility right now, listening to what they’re planning. It’s just money, I guess.
