I have an odd feeling about this game. After watching Mizzou get the shite kicked out of them in Baton Rouge I didn't think we could win another road game the rest of the season. Also, UF getting a bye could have them coming out motivated and fresh like LSU did.

But I have an odd glimmer of hope. Something tells me Florida isn't that good. That defense will give us troubles, but they've got such an anemic offense. I haven't been impressed by their offense since they played Ole Miss in 2015. Del Rio is ehh, and they have a bad offensive line. Callaway is the only thing that scares me and I think Penton can quiet him.

Can Mizzou pull off the upset?

We get a bye as well which means we will be motivated which means we will win

their D is legit. The secondary will be on our receivers and Lock will be pressured. If he forces he will get picked.

their O is soft.

keys:
we win (or at least don't lose) the turnover battle.
we establish some kind of run game. hopefully Crockett has learned the play book.
they get the Dline playing better during the break

the first 2 are critical. If we get those we have a shot. If we don't we could lose by 3-4 TDs.

Technically yes. But we wont.

Im officially on the "lets just work on improving and focusing on playing fundamental football for next season" train.

If we lose a good clean game (much like UGA) it wont kill me. obviously a LSU type game would.

As with all games when a team is a 2 TD underdog on the road. In order to win you almost have to win the special teams and turnover battles. That's our hope. If our DL doesn't get any push their young QB will probably pick us apart and we will all watch LSU part II. If our D can harass him We have a punchers chance of holding them under 24 and winning. Does anyone see our offense putting up more than 17 points in this game with their elite secondary?

If we developed a run game over the off week we stand a chance. Otherwise I'm afraid opposing defenses have figured out how to stop Drew Lock.

It will be interesting to see if the defense is still working things out to.

Florida had some players banged up that may be ready to go Saturday thanks to the extra off week they are getting. According to the injury report on Don Best's site they are worse off than us injury wise.

No. I'm guessing a 28-14 type score.

Highly doubt it.
If we're being honest, we suck pretty bad.

Our defense is pretty bad and our offense just isn't productive against good defenses which UF has. Add that to the fact we play dumb, emotional and out of control and we'll likely get blown out.

Florida always talent at the skill positions and on defense. They are rarely special up front on offense. This year is no exception.

There will be some scoring opportunities but they will have to take care of the ball and let Fatony flip the field to have a chance of winning late.

I am not trying to be negative and im all in on Mizzou and love your optimism but wasnt part of the confidence we had against LSU is that their offense was anemic as well, ...aaaand then the game started and we got 42 hung on us....im still at a point where i dont know what to think about the 2016 squad.

It's another year with another soft O for Florida. Only, they seem less of a rushing threat as well.

However, I don't know what to think of this offense yet. Two road games against a P5 team in the books, and the offense has scored only two garbage time TDs.

And UF can still play D.

WRs gonna have to learn to separate (i.e. run better routes).

And for the love of all that is holy, Witter needs to ride the bench except on 3rd downs.

Well, an informed source who is close to the situation told me (very confidentially, so please don't forward this)...that there is little chance that we can beat UF, but he's reasonably confident that we'll finish no worse than runner-up.

Even though he has run harder lately, I agree with you on Witter. I've never understood the coaches fascination with him. He can't break a tackle, lacks an SEC-caliber burst, and is worthless in the passing game. He's never even been the best RB when he starts. I thought Hunt and Abbington were both just as good as him in 2015 and should've been used more. This season, Crockett and Strong (even when he doesn't know plays) look better than him. I have a feeling the coaches think that they can get this underrecruited guy to be the next Mizzou Made story. But he's just not there.

Cornell Ford said he was happy with Nate Strong's progress with the playbook but he injured his ankle sometime before the Delaware State game. Ankle injuries linger for weeks sometimes so it is unknown when he will see the field.

I think he had offers from Ohio State and Florida State so he may be on the field as soon as he is ready. Next Saturday would be a good time to be ready.

I'm not down on Ish as he has made tough catches that left me saying "wow, he caught that!"
