Daboll is following that Matt Rhule trijectory (sort of). I personally don't think it's a great fit either. It does sound good on paper tho.

He isn't bc he hasn't said anything about it. IF he was leaving he'd say he's staying.

At least Rhule had college experience at Temple and Baylor as a HC.

Yeah, Franklin buzz has cooled, Hartline got a little movement but now its Klein. If Drink announces he's gone, Mizzou wants to move very fast. Too close to early signing and don't want to lose key future players to the portal like Olugbode.

I will say this, don't know how this shakes out, but it is nice to see Mizzou boosters ready for action and not just sitting around being victims.

8 million/year for a rookie OC?

I chose the wrong profession.

Wouldn't be opposed but the first 2-3 years we'd be dog shite as he learns the HC/CEO ropes

Hopefully the GM helps with that. Do t know if Klein or Hartline would even be interested tho no matter what the offer.

Do we look dumb if we offer Drink 11 to stay?

Yes, IMHO.

Even if he let's Kirby walk ...

I think if PSU offers Drink 11+ ... you let him walk and reset with a younger guy at 7-8.

Just not sure Klein is that guy

It won't matter, this is one of the all-time worst coaching cycles to be hiring for.

It is best to try and keep Drink. Does more money matter to him though.

Eli is the best recruiter we have ever had. How can you replace that?

NIL is great but someone that creates buzz and excitement gets the right Jimmies and Joes.

I'm still thinking Jeremy Maclin but I know that is way outside the box. Maybe impossible for a high school coach. I hope they at least interview him and see what he has to say if he is interested.

Lol okay I will stop. I'll leave it to the pros to make the hire and be happy.

Who is saying there will be a hiring going on? Maybe people are jumping the gun on Drinkwitz leaving to be fired a 3 years later.

Window shopping is fun! I want Bob Chesney myself.

I don't believe Drink is leaving though. I think it's a shakedown to get more business on board for NIL.

Still feels like silverfield would be high on the list since laird hired him at memphis.

Arkansas wants Silverfield, so that means we should not touch him.

As long as this doesn't require paying Drink more.
