What I don't get: These kids want to go to the NBA. The NBA is all about scoring and shooting. So why all the emphasis on defense? Especially when a few successful teams like Gonzaga emphasize flowing classic offense in addition to "enough" defense? (much like current football)
Seems to me, to get the kids, you want to emphasize good shooting.
Wanting enlightenment, don't really understand modern college basketball I guess.

We will need scoring and he can do that some. Is he better than Mark Smith? Probably not.

The two new additions that we have show more athleticism than almost anyone on our team last year. Really need a shooter and a big to fill out this class imo.

He could and should be better than Mark Smith, it's not a high bar

This is a big one, add a solid big (Christian Bishop?) and this could turn out to be a really good haul in the transfer portal. Turning Davis and Gordon into the #2 and #3 players really changes the look of these incoming players.

Okay, now I’m getting more excited.

Do we have 2 players to play the "5?" Bishop is 6'7" and at Creighton that made him the 5, which he no longer wants to play. He wants to play wing. I talked to him at the Creighton camp, and I asked why Mizzou didn't at least get a visit from him. He said Creighton was his first visit and he loved it so he committed but he wished he'd taken a Mizzou visit. So maybe we get him this time.

We are out on Bishop. Shockingly.
Other than Illinois, have we beaten any basketball schools out for anyone since Cuonzo got here?

We lost Bates.
Stunned and shocked.
Who is the Jordan Wilmore of 2021 and how can we get him signed? Does Ed Chang want to transfer back?

At least he stayed true to his words and is playing for a black coach.

Jevon Porter had 2 offers, Mizzou and Pepperdine.
He chose the latter. Just surprised at his choice.
Well, maybe not.
And Coban Porter had only one offer...Stephen F. Austin, but he jumped out of his commit there to sign with U of Denver.
Either Mizzou doesn't like the younger Porters...or the Porters no longer like Mizzou. ???

I belioeve it is both. The talent gap between michael/ Jontay and the rest is pretty big. That plus the fact mizzou and the porters is really no longer a thing makes it a no brainer imo

What big guy are we pretending to be excited about signing?

I expected recruiting numbers like this under Kim. I had no idea that Cuonzo would have us scraping the bottom of the barrel for athletes. What a joke.
