Think where we were a year ago. And imagine at that point, thinking about going "Eh" to any player with talent or potential.

I am a bit "confused" on a couple things. 1 I have seen him listed as both a PF and SF so perhaps he is versatile enough to play either. 2 He is listed às class of 18 so would think having to process someone out is not needed(although I would not be upset if we could process out any of 3 current KA "bodies" to open up more overall available schollies, if possible without killing our APR).
Of course Perry talk may be moot if his decommitment is totally based on his concern for his dad's health. If so would expect him to stay conveniently close to his Georgia home, unless of course Calipari and UK come "courting" and then Lexington would probably be close enough.

Having a true position is mostly overrated. The real key is having complementary skills to the other players.
Ben Simmons at LSU is an example if not having complementary parts. There was very good talent on that team. They just all had to have the ball in their hands to be effective and couldn't score from the perimeter.

Torrence Watson to announce his commitment shortly. ...
Details to follow.
And it's Ohio State
ETA: tOSU wasn't in his top 8 on May 26th.
I'd hate to be a recruiter.

Some future Mizzou basketball targets
Missouri basketball has been a bottom feeder in the SEC in recent years, but upon the the Tigers have hit the ground in a full out sprint since hiring Cuonzo Martin thanks to the commitments of Michael Porter, Jontay Porter and Jeremiah Tilmon. While they still have some work to do in the 2018 class, where might the Tigers be leaning early on within the 2019 class?
Martin has been vocal about creating a pipeline between the talented St. Louis area and Columbia, and the Tigers have jumped all in on top-75 guard Mario McKinney. The 6-foot guard is a freak of an athlete and is someone that plays a very entertaining brand of basketball. The Tigers’ staff has been present at many of his games this month showing just how much they value the rising junior.
Even closer to home is top-100 wing Isiaih Mosley. A 6-foot-5 small forward, Mosley is a hard playing junior that can shoot and defend. The native of Columbia, Missouri is a must get for the Tigers and while his recruitment is just picking up steam, a commitment to Mizzou should come as no surprise.
Francis Okoro is another to keep tabs on. The top-30 forward, who plays for the same travel program as McKinney and Tilmon, is someone that the Tigers have started to prioritize. Along with Okoro, Marcedus Leech and Malik Hall, two wings that recently hauled in Kansas offers, remain on Missouri’s radar. Hall and Leech will both lead national recruitments.

Roman Wilson is another instate top 75 player that Mizzou is in on in 2019. He's a very athletic raw 6'10 forward.
If you expand the look just beyond the borders EJ Liddell and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl are top 100 players Mizzou is recruiting in 2019.
Mizzou also has been heavily recruiting several players in Texas and Michigan. CJ Roberts dad is a key figure on the Texas AAU circuit.

Got a commitment from KJ Santos. He's a 6'8 juco wing.
He averaged 7 points a game at Illinois Chicago as a freshman last year.

Not sure exactly how to feel about this. I think my ambivalence must be due to so quickly becoming spoiled with perhaps unreasonable expectations

I know nothing about him, but some of the analysts are saying he's very talented.
Watched his highlight and he's obviously very athletic. Lots of put back dunks and blocked shots. Also shot 37% from 3.
Guess we'll have to see how he performs at JUCO this year, but it may be a better get than what it looks like.

This helps in a lot of ways.
Mizzou will lose a lot on the wing after this year.
Taking a junior helps balance the classes some.
Santos being from Illinois, a rich potential recruiting ground.

I liked what I saw on Santos' tape but 2 questions:
Why were his numbers so damn low at UIC and can he translate to a power conference with that?
If he averaged 4 ppg, did we see every single basket he made in that tape?
