So, do we really believe Moore will leave?

I sure as hell hope so

Moore's contract expired on his way home from Arkansas. There is no buzz on a new contract. The OC line item has a nice budget, if he gives that money to Moore, that will upset more than a few people.

I would play my son in madden. I would choose a dynasty team with Payton or sanders and run same few plays. My son would mix things up. He usually won. Feel like Kirby is like me playing Madden.

He might work at UAB, or any number of FCS programs. Or he could hold clipboards for his brother.

I assume that if either side wanted to get a deal done that it would’ve happened already.

Sounds familiar. There was an article about Mizzou's Oline coach in the last 20 years, who exhibited some weird behavior (can't remember, just that it seemed like Steer Clear territory) and had bad results.

Plus when recruiting Rocco Marriot it was Drink only. For QBs in the past Moore was always involved.

I think it was combo a deal for Marriott. To get him you would need to offer Platte County’s back up TE Brooks Hall. I don’t think Drink wanted to waste a scholarship on a low 3* TE to get another QB for the class. He would probably rather look in the portal.

Both Rocco and Hall signed with UCF

Sorry, the point i was making was that I don't think that Moore is returning because he wasn't involved in QB recruiting.which usually Moore is involved as OC.

I don’t think it’s a sign Moore’s not coming back. Kirby is the primary recruiter for Braylon Warren and Gavin Sidwar. Warren committed today for the class of 2027

Both coaches probably talked with to Marriott. Coaches talk to players and most of the time it’s the one that has the best connection that continues to be the lead recruiter. That’s with players on both sides of the ball

Drink was the lead recruiter for Zollers, Pribula, and Marriott.

Aidan Glover was combination of the coaching staff.

Mizzou offered Romin Seymour a low 3* recruit. Drink and Moore talked to him, but Olivia Ohlsen is his main contact person. If he wants to come to Mizzou it would probably be as a walk-on.

It’s bad to think that Braylon Warren committing today could be a sign Moore is coming back. If he comes back we might not win 6 games next year. I don’t think it’s a sign

regardless of all our thoughts on Moore, he currently does not have a contract for next year and can't come back until there is one. From where I sit, that seems to indicate the assumption should be Moore is not coming back.

Agree with your assumption and view here.

Which begs the question - what’s going on behind the scenes on a new person? Surely we would want that announcement to come sooner than later?

If the new OC is coaching in the playoffs it could take a few weeks. If not, a few days maybe.

There's no real rush unless Drink will push Pribula out the door and look for another transfer. A transfer QB will want to talk to the OC to see if its a good fit.

I don't think Drink processes Pribula. He's not that type of coach. The best we can hope is an honest competition between him and Zollers for 2026.

This is where a Petrino would be good for Mizzou. He would insist on starting the best player for his offense. I fear a G5 OC would be stuck with the QB Drink selected.

Talk about a buzzkill headed into next year if there is still “competition” after spring….

I’m not sure he proved that this year.

You mean like the fans thought Pribula was better than the starter at PSU?
