So is it time to panic a bit yet?

No, come august is crunch time for recruiting. We had one big visitors weekend last week and another one coming up next week. This is where we make progress and land some commits. James Madison II, WR out of Florida but originally a MO boy, is sounding pretty promising on him committing to us. I believe he announced he will make his commitment on July 4th.

Lots of big recruits reported to be visiting this weekend. Hopefully the commitments pick up in the next week or so. Nwaneri was rumored to be cancelling his visit to instead visit UGA, but it is now believed that he will visit Mizzou and then go to UGA later on Saturday...

247 visitor list: LINK /

5* DL Williams Nwaneri
5* WR Ryan Wingo
4* LB Brian Huff
4* CB Cameron Keys
4* LB Jeremiah Beasley
4* RB Darrion Dupree

Need to throw some big NIL money at the 5* instate kids. I'm sure we'll low ball them.

Sounds like UGA/ OU are the heavy favorites for Nwaneri, but I guess those were also the same favorites for Burden. But agreed, I still think Drink is a good recruiter but as NIL has developed it’s become clear that money is far more important than recruiting prowess

According to On3, Nwaneri’s NIL value is $364k and Wingo is $203k the rest don’t have an estimate. We should be able to find that with a Hy Vee deal for Nwaneri and a Schnucks deal for Wingo.

Or if we pass the hat and all pitch in a few bucks.

those valuations are junk, last I knew. related to nothing on field, just social media metrics.

Tons of buzz on Twitter last night and this morning from Drink and others involved with the program. Let’s hope they deliver

Wiltfong put in a prediction for 4* LB Brian Huff to Mizzou. High quality recruit, and would be nice to beat Arky for a kid from their state

Gavin Hoffman was a letdown for me. His athleticism is off the charts.

Two commitments today, and who knows how good these kids are…but I think I read Mizzou was the only P5 offer for both??!! I think safe to say the days of Drink recruiting at all time high levels are over. Hope I’m wrong.

Yeah those are some very meh commits after all the hype the staff was trying to build on Twitter. Let’s hope the 4*s rumored to be Mizzou leans- James Madison II, Cameron Keys, and Brian Huff - get on board soon and another surprise on top of that wouldn’t hurt either

Beat out Kentucky and Vandy. Solid commit. Let's keep it rolling and land some of the big fish

Let wait until after Drinkwitz and Mizzou wins more than 6 games this coming season and the offense finally takes off. That is why recruits are in a wait and see approach. This will be Drinkwitz last chance to turn the team around or else he will be gone. I believe he will get it done this coming season.

Yeah, let's wait on recruiting. Don't sign anyone. Why even recruit until we win 6+ games?

Also worth noting, 2 of his teammates who are both very solid recruits, are committing in the next couple days and both seem to be Mizzou leans.
