Streaming numbers are included when available. Games that do not have available data are counted as zero.
This right here tells me these numbers aren't worth much.

Missouri has a lot of brand building to do to capture the state...but this data seems flawed. Almost every game for the top 10 is nationally televised, many of which are primetime/game of the week telecasts...much of the top 25 at least gets nationally televised. For those of us stuck with regional networks for most games, you are going to get a regional audience...and shite kickoff times on top of it. If we aren't getting the regional audience, well, we need a product to watch. But, if this becomes the measure of CFB going forward, next will be TV deals specific to programs (think MLB, longhorn network, etc.), but will never work because CFB needs all of the smaller pieces to get the enormous chunk of pie they already get because most fans do not switch allegiances. I would go as far as saying to NOT watch games if this is the measuring stick (I do in fact refuse to give KU my rating, don't do it).
All that said, this seems like a nothingburger. Mizzou obviously needs to do better penetrating a state with only one NFL team, and fighting off all of the regional markets (KSU, NU, KU, IU, etc.), but so much of this is fandom, you will never convert fans of other programs in college. Hate to say, it comes back to the true Mizzou fans, which there are so many, but so many of us are disenfranchised from events of the past, fan apathy, etc. I will not blame the fans because I know there are many, but many of which need to be drawn back...and that starts on the field.
The good news, despite the challenges, we still draw nearly 800k viewers per week. How do we double that? How do we make Mizzou a must watch/attend event in this great state? The product we see on the field is HUGE here, and also plays towards more national audiences...but also, Mizzou needs to be more grass roots with the program. Sitting top players (Badie) for bowl games, etc. just leads casual fans to an eye roll. How do you counter this sentiment, particularly in the show me state where we all want to be shown. Or, how do you counter sitting kids from bowls, etc....it all starts with the coach. Shoot us straight...I get not risking injury, etc. but at least acknowledge you have some fan as well. This program has a long way to go...winning would help take the largest, most immediate step, but need Mizzou to be THE event every Saturday just like it is for so many of us on this board. How do we get there?

I like the days when the quarterbacks were starters for at least 2 years and pass it on to the next Starting quarterback to follow the footsteps. It is what Gary Pinkel did to make it more worthy to watch the offense and win games. If Drinkwitz can do that then that will lead to more people watching the games.

I mean, you should if you want high level recruits to play for Mizzou I dunno.

The 2019 MLB TV viewership by team Cleveland was #1 and Minneapolis was #2. Cleveland was 21st in attendance and Minnesota was 15th. Neither team is ranked in the top 10 in merchandise sales.
TV ratings are BS. There is no way more people watch Cleveland and Minnesota than NYY, Boston, or St Louis.

Drink took the bullett for Badie last year, if I had to guess Badie wanted to sit and Drink covered for him. As for other players as much bullshite as it is it is now widespread to every team not in the playoffs.
