Banks decommitted because he needed to get away from some bad influences in Columbia.

I think he can land at a better school than Illinois.

I hope so too. Have you heard anything about how he's looking so far this season? He'll be an interesting case to follow through the end of they year.

Do we need another RB? I liked Moran but we're pretty stocked there

I'd be surprised if we take another RB. It seems like we want 2-3 DT's, another DE, a TE, and then another LB and WR.

Castillo looked solid on the OL and made a really nice play on the DL. I like what I saw from him.

It was hard to gauge how good Rockhurst could be. Lost there starting QB early in the 1st quarter. The back-up threw a three picks. They brought in Trent Green's son in 4th. He is just a somhomore, but looked like he could be a decent recruit in a few years.

Taylor could play any of the positions, but needs more weight for a college RB. I like him in the slot.

He is an Arkansas baseball commit. Not ideal for us other than the fact that it may kill his MLB draft stock and ensure he makes it to Fayetteville.

For those talking about it, looks like Moran will stick with Illinois.

Local recruiting expert Danny Heitert appeared on 920 yesterday to talk Mizzou / local recruiting.

Basically says STL class this year is a C- or D+. The guy loves Williams out of Rock Bridge. Aldon Smith comparisons (of course who hasn't been compared to Aldon).

To me it looks like there are less high quality 5 star recruits this year. I watched a 5 star WR play on TV and couldn't believe he was ranked in the top 25. He was good, but nothing close DGB or Marcus Lucas coming out of High school.

This seems to be the year where Pinkel will have to find a diamond in the rough or go with a few more JUCO's.

They've already got a decent class.

I'm sure they'll add some more.

With so many underclassmen in the 2 deep, a weak class nationally -- makes sense to be lean this year.

Don't see the need to dip into JUCO.

Or take guys for the sake of taking them.

No doubting Pinkel here. He always seems to find a few diamonds.

Danny is the best appraiser of talent.

Rivals is way off this year. I mean way off. The #10 is heading to NIU. We aren't even offering #5 thru #10, but Scales is listed as #12

What about Cale Garrett #18 and Al Young #14? Both seemed to be under recruited. I haven't seen either play, but my ex-brother in-law lives in Jackson, Mo and said Young is the real deal. He has watched him play several times and doesn't understand why he is not being recruited by Mizzou. I was wondering about Garrett because of his stats and size.

Young will get the offers as the season goes on. I just don't know if he has what it takes to be a WR at the FBS level. He is a solid CB, not the best tackler, but plays the ball great. I hope Mizzou offers him because he works his butt off and will be a good player.

Here's an under the radar 2016 recruit I would love to see Mizzou offer and get. They have invited him to a game.

Darrynton Evans

#4 Senior RB FS

New Smyrna Beach High School

Mizzou closely monitoring 3* in-state WR Harry Ballard III, communicating w/ him frequently LINK

No offer yet, but looks we are thinking about it.
