With the bye week Tiger coaches hit the recruiting trail with a 9-1 and top 10 ranking swagger. Hope they can land several of their top targets and make inroads with 2015 recruits next week. There is still a little less than three months until LOI day.

Yeah, the coaches probably haven't had this kind of recruiting opportunity ever. It will be interesting to see who and how they target and also how much time they spend in preparation for Ole Miss and ATM vs. recruiting. It's all important. Does anyone know of any already planned trips?

Also, not really for this board (sorry) but was also thinking this AM how I hated it when DBG was suspended for the Vandy and Bama games last yr, but hopefully the guys will remember it and no one will do anything stupid during the bye week.

Edmund Ray had to go Juco after a last second switch to A&M. Anyone know his status? Think he is at Hutch CC. Mizzou not recruiting him.

Tony Peirson with Kansas dumped the Tigers and from reports wanted to recommit but was told no. I hope he has enjoyed the 5 victories he has been a part of in his 3 seasons in Lawrence. Haven't won a Big 12 game yet. Also wonder what the story was.

Edmund Ray

Was he a DE? I can't remember. After the way he handled his signing, I would hope the staff does not offer him a position again.

No thanks on Ray. Eta: I think DT.

And Pierson was a Sunkett recruit. As in he was recruited to play at ESL (one of many). Mizzou recruit at Gateway, recruited to ESL and poof - decommit. I would speculate that Sunkett has a pay-to-play system for his players to be recruited. Allegedly.

He's the East St. Louis coach, right? That's a shame. Not necessarily unexpected though.

When Pierson committed to Mizzou, it was as a Cornerback. Sunkett convinced him he was a rockstar and an RB that could do better than Mizzou.

I cant' find Ray on the Hutch roster, but he could be red shirting. Go ask the Aggies.

It's a St. Louis thing (though I'm sure it's not just St. Louis). I've seen it first hand in other places and ways. It's certainly not just HS sports. When people feel bold enough to ask you straight up what their kickback will be from a government service or contract, you know it's going to be a fun working relationship.

Yeah, that obviously worked out well for him.

Kid is a little delusional. He said he was going to bring a Big 12 championship to kU.

Oh. That's sad. I feel bad for the kid, but we don't need someone with that severe a disorder on the team. Wish him well.

I wonder... Is that treatable with medication?

Back in the day East St. Louis had a national powerhouse in football and East St. Louis Lincoln was a basketball powerhouse. The running joke was how a player would live with his mom during football season and play for ESL and then you'd see the same kid playing basketball for Lincoln and apparently living with his dad after football season was over.
