In the interest of kicking some dust up in this graveyard I purpose a question:

Who would you like to see emerge as QB this fall? Who do you think is the best, most capable, most deserving of the job amongst the four we have available? Lastly, who do you think Mullen will pick to start the first game?

Bonus question: Will Mullen give them all equal time in-game?

I think Fitzgerald has the most potential and will get the start. This is based on zero info, just what I've seen in the last year.

Williams has the most experience and seniority.

Fitz took most of the snaps when Dak was taken out.

Staley looked good the few times I saw him play.

Have never seen Tiano touch the ball.

I think Fitz will get the nod to start the season. If he isn't effective I think Mullen will retract to his old ways of playing the guy with seniority which will be Williams.

Bonus: No, he won't give them all equal time.

Fitz will be our starter, IMO.

After him, I would like to see Tiano. I think he is the future...possibly the now if Fitz doesn't work out.

Williams should not see the field this year, there is no future in him. Not sold on Staley, either.

Is this the first time ever we have a problem of having too many capable QB's?

Such is a good problem to have.

While I agree with most of the above comments, if not all; I think Dan & Staff will do what is best...

I think Fitz is a safe play for another bowl but not winning anything significant. He's not currently the kind of mature leader we need.

Damien Williams can transfer. He sucks. The way he acted when Bob said his beard looked like Dragon Ball Z makes me think it's his fault Dak got jumped in PCB. Kick rocks kid.

Eli Staley has the most physical talent. I hope he puts it all tigether. Will he? I'm not real confident for this year.

Nick Tiano is all around best option. He's as physically talented as Fitz but he's a better leader. Dak says he's the guy and I'm with him.

I would rank it right this minute as Fitz (short leash), Tiano, Williams, Staley (most potential).

I don't think Tiano ever sees the field. Whoever wins this year between Fitz / Staley will start for two years and then Thompson will start as a RsF

Fitz will be the starter. I've heard none of them have really distinguished themselves but that Nick looks the best. Tiano is gonna surprise some people

Pop-tart Williams

We all know that Mullen will troll and start him game 1.

Keytaon Thompson is our future. He will RS next season but compete for the starting spot after that.

We'll get a Fitz/Staley and some Tiano battle this year.

Next year will be whoever doesn't transfer/Tiano battle.

If Staley sees the field we are fricked, the kid has the looks but zero accuracy, he makes C. Rely look like a marksman.

So what's the deal with Fitz? I hear all of these references to not mature, hasn't won the huddle, has off the field issues but never any specifics. Is he just unlikable? Is he a party animal? What is it about him that makes folks say these things? I mean Joe Namath was about as immature and had about as many off the field issues as you could possibly have but was one of the greatest QBs ever. Could also say some of the same things about guys like Jim McMahon and Ben Roethlisberger.
