All is good man. Work and the wife are great. I figured he would probably get one more. I honestly think y'all win the egg bowl, that's just how it is
I just figured you would know more than the rest pretend to since you are around the ones that matter more. Hope y'all are doing well down there

Egg Bowl up in the air with it being on Thursday. Got to do the family thing here and then run up for the game - or maybe not. Depends on Little Rock
Hope y'all are doing well down there

Awesome. How long is the tv schedule set for Thursday night egg bowls right now? I don't remember hearing if it was a multi-year deal or what?
Posted on 11/5/13 at 9:03 pm to hehatedrew
I would guess the new SEC Network will dictate that.

You probably said the exact same thing in 2003 when Jimbo Fisher and Gary Patterson were interested as well...
Yes, Whittingham has voiced interest in our job several times over the years to a bunch of different people. IDGAF what you think about it...

State wants it on Thursday -- OM doesn't. As of now, it's a one-time thing...
Last I heard, we are trying to work out an alternating deal with aTm/LSU. They play on Thursday when that game is in College Station(LSU wants it to be Friday or Saturday, but not Thurs), we play on Thursday when it's in Starkville. Have no idea where that negotiating process is. Probably at a standstill until after the Egg Bowl actually happens and they see the attendance, ratings, etc...

I agree. He's not nearly as hot of name as he was a few short years ago. Of course, the transition to major football has been hard on all of those hotshot mid-major coaches. Gary Patterson is struggling a bit with it as well, and I expected them to be relevant in the Big12 this year...
Still, in asking "who could we hire if not Hudspeth", I think it's a name you have to throw out there...

Everyone here thinks State pretty much immediately when discussing Hud possibly leaving.

Bundy, I want to be able to ignore you, and I should know better after all these years, but you're my kryptonite bro. Your ignorance is absolutely intolerable for me.

I really don't like starting shite on teams personal board but you're going to have to provide a source to back up this claim instead of "he said, she said"

You're better than this Henry. Or at least you used to be.
Because Templeton was an idiot that sold our soul to the devil "to let us off light" in order to break the color barrier in the SEC. Fisher even interviewed for the job and openly campaigned for it.
Go ahead and provide me a source proving Hugh Freeze's interest in the Ole Miss job circa Nov 5, 2011. Otherwise, that's bullshite too. Can you?
You REALLY think that coaches go on record in the press campaigning for a job with a current head coach still at that position -- WHILE they are also still in their current position? Nevermind that the other staff contains FOUR coaches that were on the staff with Whittingham at Utah.
Doesn't change the fact that he has previously expressed interest that is fairly well-known and accepted within our fanbase. And again, IDGAF if you "believe" it or not.
Typical Ole Miss shite. "It's IMPOSSIBLE that Mississippi State could eVar pull a coach that's been at his job for a decade and looking for a new challenge out of the Pac12 -- but word out of Oxford is that we're gonna hire Super Bowl champion Tony Dungy!!1!1"

Because LT was an effing idiot that took the bullet for the SEC. I'm not sure if you remember the climate and pressure from the media at the time especially after Bama went with Shula. That was the big reason. I personally do not recall Gary Patterson being interested or ever interested in leaving TCU but Jimbo definitely was. WBRZ had him on video that was posted on Tiger Rant of them asking him about it and he openly said he was very interested in the job.

Let me tell you I once felt the same way but today I would say I'd like to invite him over to my house so we could swap mississippi state "war" stories.

Oddly enough, LSU fans would've rejoiced if Fisher left in 2003. IIRC They were pretty happy when he left for FSU.
