So much of the stadium was empty yesterday. Our fan base needs to show up and pack out this stadium. Such a weak look we had yesterday

I don’t get it either. Afternoon game against a ranked opponent too

We sold out every game for Mullen even in down years. Do the fans not like Leach’s product? I loved the game yesterday we looked like a great team. Hopefully that win puts some spark in the fanbase we have a tough stretch coming up and the team will need their support

It’s a joke and that’s exactly what I was thinking about as well. I wish leach would say something about it. Stadium wasn’t even that loud yesterday.

I was not able to be there but it sounded very loud on the radio and TV as I listened in the car when I was traveling and watched the end at home.

Attendance was 51K. I agree that it should have been full. I think there are several factors involved here. Ticket prices, Economics, Big Screen TV’s, people staying in the Junction to tailgate during the game. There seems to be 10-15K or more on campus for games that do not go in to the game.

All that said, Leach knows that is not worth talking about. If we keep winning the crowds will be bigger.

Interesting that we had a bigger crowd for Memphis than we did A&M. Of course I know that was the first game of the year on a holiday weekend and it was easy for people to come. Ticket prices were lower as well.

It’s also possible that some fans expected us to lose after the lsu game

Yesterday we looked like the team I expected for this season. I hope we can continue and get wins over Arky and UK and be 6-1 going to Alabama ranked top 15.

I suspect it will be much better for the Arkansas game

ETA: I forgot it's an 11:00 A.M. time slot. I hate these damn morning games.

Regardless we needed state fans in the stands. It was the most pathetic showing I’ve seen at an SEC game (not against Vandy) since at least 2008

Fan attendance is an issue everywhere really.

It's hard to motivate fans to show up for cupcakes

Don’t think there was 51k. Also tailgating was way down so not 15k outside the stadium. Tickets were still plentiful through the ticket office last weekand they were asking $100 for lowers through the ticket office. Same for this week. I understand they think they have to maintain the sale price in line with what season ticket holders are paying but they should drop prices across the board and fill it up. They’ve also jacked up concession prices again.

Yeah it's kind of shitty that college football has become something that the average family has a hard time affording.

Went to an Atlanta United game recently and concession prices were lower there and offerings were higher quality. That hot dog they switched to at our games is nowhere near as good as the old ones.

Are the Davis Wade dogs not good anymore? Haven’t been to a home game this year, but I’ll be there this weekend. I always get at least one glizzy at the game.

Hot dogs are fine for being priced at $2.00. Now they are $3.75 I think. On the bright side they’ve changed the concessions process to how it was at Dudy Noble this past season so lines seem to move better

Hotels are all sold out so maybe that’s going to translate into a big crowd tomorrow

Crowd was right at 58K so it looks like the fans did show up. Some people fuss about the early start. But for families with the little kids, that is actually a good time to start. They are already going to be up early.

Plus, do they need to show capacity a bit lower now? With the balconies on the west side replacing seats I would think capacity is more like 60K instead of 61K+.

Good crowd but didn’t look like that many but I’m on the west side so not sure how full the upper deck on west side was. I don’t mind the early starts when the weather is like it was yesterday. Primary impact of the early games is the distance a bunch of our fans have to drive. We ended up going up Friday night instead of rushing like heck to get there Saturday morning and that made a huge difference not having to drive 2 hours the morning of an 11:00 kick.

Stadium grease missle update: 7/10

Bottom of the bun was a touch on the stale side but the rest was great. Dog was hot and juicy. Bought 2, ate 2.
