I mean, the sky is not falling until we see what Moorhead can do with his players, but if the supposedly offensive guru can't figure out how to design an offense around the players he does have, my hopes aren't very high.

I think Joe has done a poor job adjusting with this year's team, but if he had "his qb" I think our offense would be legit. We seem to have a lot of open receivers, and if we could hit them it would really open up the run game. Hard to run an RPO with no pass.

I just think we wasted this defense JJDoc. And if we somehow play Alabama hard, I'll be even more pissed. I'll be at the remaining games. But I've moved on mentally to Basketball season. There's nothing this team can do this year that will be an accomplishment in my eyes.

I'm not one of the State fans that puts everything into the Egg Bowl. It can't save a bad season and it doesn't ruin a good season.

I know we'll make a bowl. But I'm not looking forward to the Liberty Bowl.

He has vs FL, he didn't change anything. Mullen did. The Ms St defense was owning the UF OL. Mullen adjusted to keep the DL off of his QB. That change was to quick out passes... screens... bubble...etc.

I wouldn't say a lot. I would say some. In this system, you should have 2 to 3 options every play. That's the beauty of it.

RPO becomes RO (run only)... LOL...

You need to think of it like this. This defense will attract great Defensive players.

Bama is a different Animal than normal.

if he cannot win with a loaded roster and a senior QB he needs to go. ADJUST to what your players can do not what you want them to do. He is a shite HC and no one here wants to just admit to that and say we need to move on. Athletic Dept leadership needs to go as well they are responsible for this mess.

Supposedly Coach Moorhead is a smart, hard-working guy... but some of his statements baffle me, like this:

quote:

Moorhead remained steadfast in his claim that Hill’s six carries at halftime were a reasonable amount.

Aside from Fitz when he's running well, is not Hill our best playmaker on offense? Don't we want to be trying to get the ball in his hands a lot more?

I don't mind losing (I don't like it) but it's how inept we've looked on offense that has me irritated.

If I may... again... LOL.

1- I think he was saying he was on pace prior to a lower body injury.

2- Hill is not your best back. That goes against Moorhead and a lot of fans, but he's horrible at pass blocking. And I mean horrible. He has been personally responsible for Fitz getting his clock cleaned many times. And here is the thing about it. You can not alternate Williams in for only pass protection. Defenses will know and defend accordingly.

Willams was a 1000+ yard back. He ran WELL against us.

3- Right now, I'm speechless on Moorhead. I know when he gets his QB in, MS ST will move forward again. BUT he may cost MS St a few games every year by not adjusting.

Sad to see all the negativity here. One thing State fans used to have that none of the other SEC schools had was, we would stick with our coach (es) and players win or lose.
It started back in the mid 90’s when Derrick Taite was booed by our fans.
Thankfully, the vast majority of our fans (even in the present day) stay supportive win or lose. But some of the tone that our fans use today after a loss is very disappointing and disheartening to say the least.

Now I guess since we won last night , these fans still want Cohen and Moorhead fired.

I’m still no fan. I show up for the players not for the coaches.

I think a lot of our message board fans(key word message board) bought into some hype that this was a team that would only have a loss in Tuscaloosa this year. Who did we really beat last year to make that call? Youre pissed because we didn't go undefeated and win it all now?

Was I upset about the loss to UF? Hell yeah but don't act like Mullen didn't have questionable games and head scratching moments. Better yet, is 2014 the only year we didn't shite the bed at home to an equal opponent?

We have two losses on the road to 2 teams that doing better than expected. LSU on the road isn't a gimme and this is the best UK team I can remember. They are an OT loss on the road from being undefeated.

Also, this defense isn't wasted. This defense is doing their job and the reason we're not looking like UCLA, Nebraska, FSU, Arizona, or better yet, A&M who paid 75million for that. If not for the D, it could be a lot worse. We will still be good moving forward next year on D and another year for KT to learn on offense.

I will admit, the 4th & 3 over the top downfield was a WTF call but at the same time, I get what he was trying to do. That's who Moorhead is. Spurrier did it all the time. Hit that and momentum is huge in our favor and to end the half. it also tells your defense you have faith in them. The problem was Leo Lewis being stupid and a horrible PI call.

I think Moorhead will do fine. I don’t think he will do any worse than Dan did and I think he has a lot of upside potential.

Also what better options did Cohen have? It wasn’t a botched hire. I’m sure as hell glad he didn’t hire Morris or Pruitt

I mean we could upset Bama and finish 9-3 and win a bowl to get 10 wins. That would be an accomplishment

Can we get a prayer chain going for this outcome. I’ll be in the stands in T-town for this one and don’t have the stomach for a bloodbath
