Just saw where Paul Jones CB'd Lashley to Bama.

lol we were all but giftwrapped a blue chip OT and Hev finds a way to frick it up. Hevesy's recruiting efforts are like some elaborate practical joke that has just gone on way too long.

I'm not even going to blame Hev. These kids need some fricking spine. I mean seriously, where is the backbone and pride to stay home and represent the state you were raised in? What draw is there to "Rather than represent the state that made me, the state my parents pay taxes out of their hard earned money to, I'm going to play for Alabama. To hell with helping or giving back to what got me here, I'll play there and never be remembered. Even if I'm the best they ever see, just one fish in the stream."?

shite like this is what will kill college football. The rich get richer until eventually (read: now) there are only a few teams that matter.

I don't blame Hev, I blame the attitude in this state. People get degrees to leave as soon as they get the shot. We need to instill some values and a little state pride into our kids.

Mississippi isn't getting any better until we make it better, from top to bottom. Football is the least significant example.

The kid is going to compete with other highly ranked OTs for a job rather than coast into MSU and start next year. Doesn't sound spineless to me.

I will say I laughed at this. But I'm probably going to be at an even bigger loss if we have all these guys commit to or appear to be headed to Bama to have them flip. We would gain nothing by spurring the favored child, that's a good way to sell some hotel rooms to the NCAA.
