If you could add an SEC team for the only purpose of being UK's rival, who?

Lets pretend we go expanding again, what's the one team you wouldn't mind coming in and being your end of the year rival. I don't want to include Louisville in this- I think it might just be the obvious answer. Think of adding Missouri and how well they complement Arkansas.

My opinion:
West Virginia would go great with Kentucky. They wouldn't be a very big addition, economic-wise, but Kentucky-West Virginia has a nice ring to it IMO.

I could handle West Virginia, but have heard bad things about the fans. Would probably never make a road trip there. Indiana would be the best choice for basketball and football rivalry.

I always liked our basketball series we had with Notre Dame. But we'd have a rough go of it football wise (the obvious to good for a conference mentality aside).

North Carolina would be a good compliment.

Their football program is far worse than ours and their fans are trash. We already play one team whose fans are intolerable every season.

I'll go with Cincinnati. Very close to each other, so it would be heated, just like Louisville. Not great, but competitive in both basketball and football.

I thought about Indiana, but I don't see anyone coming out of the Big Ten. Cincinnati is one I didn't think of, but I think that would be a little like adding Louisville. That's how I came up with West Virginia. Virginia Tech maybe?

My first thought as well. I could see that being pretty good.

UNC makes no sense. They rival Duke.

I have a feeling if UK played Duke in tiddlywinks they could sell lots of tickets. UK vs Duke in Commonwealth sounds like a sellout game to me.

I had the same question. I avoided asking.

There aren't many teams that are without a rival.

Definitely would like to see either UNC or Duke. Caliber of football and basketball are on similar levels and basketball season would definitely bring about some instant classic matchups

Why not Virginia? It's a name that I think makes sense, but never heard them mentioned during expansion. They've had some good football teams, albeit you have to go back to the 90's.
