Give it up dude. I am an Auburn fan and can't even get access because I can be critical of Auburn and our fans.

If we ever open up our board, I hope KSGamecock is the first. Dude is very witty....and that's not counting his awesome pie charts.

I agree. I can think of 4-5 that I would support, but that's about it.

Why is that a problem?

I don't understand why your board is so strict. Our board has quite a few posters from other fan bases, and there are rarely problems.

They're probably afraid it would turn into a huge troll fest. In their defense, it probably would be to start out with if they started allowing people on there. They've made it so restrictive the troll tards would be drooling out of the mouth to have a chance at it. If/when they decided to let people on, I could understand them being pretty damn selective about who they let in.

Ok I get the want to keep it troll free but every other board has that problem too. I couldn't imagine it being difficult to ban some mouth breather who tards up the board.
I secretly admire their dedication to no outsiders.

Me too, but don't let them know that.

I completely disagree. It's not like they're opening the borders for anyone and everyone. If any outsiders were allowed, that person would still be voted on and have to have (I'm assuming) over 50% approval. So any outsiders that were let in would most likely be in good standing and have a good reputation already.
The people who would be intent on coming out of the gates swinging wouldnt' even get access in teh first place, and if that did happen they'd just instantly be booted. That's what the hangers on over there don't realize. It wouldn't turn into a mini-SECR since they are still controlling who would be able to have access.

From my understanding the plan is to eventually have all the boards be public.

Two sides of the coin
World travelers - I have put several AU posters up for several boards as they are pretty cool and I read their stuff enough to feel they can travel well.
In state folks - nothing wrong, but if I wanted my own place in the state of AL free of Bama trolls, I would have my back up to adding new folks from the fear of some Bama folks slipping in during the process.
Neither way is right or wrong, it is just the nature of what folks feel work best for them. I really wanted on that softball thread as I was watching those games and saw just how far they went (and almost put the Gophers - and B1G - in their place) and would have loved to comment on that thread but understand at this time non Auburn folks are just viewed suspiciously.
Maybe one day they open up but if they are comfortable where they are I get that too.
