I would like to be considered for the AU board. I don't think any AU posters have a problem with me.

I started this thread under a now known false assumption. It wont accomplish anything(sadly, like most help threads
)

That chicken was allowing posters access if the got voted in. it's up to the board admins discretion. Votes don't matter, unless the team board admin says so

I didn't even see this thread until this morning, so forgive my ignorance on the subject, but how many AU posters have been granted access to the Alabama board?
Posted on 7/29/13 at 10:16 am to Chadaristic
Two or three. Their board is staunchly against any of us getting access though.
I really don't see the problem. Reading through their thread, some people made a good point about how our presence alone, even if it is completely benign to a normal person, will set off the LBS types. But if that starts to derail things just ban us.
Thanks to everyone who supported me, even if your efforts are in vain.

my thoughts on the matter as well. I'd like to be able to talk to other folks in a flame free, heavily supervised environment, that leaves out the bad of the rant.
I think Ross is our only admin, if they grant access we probably need at least one or two more, like some of the other boards

No warnings, one strike and you're out.

Exactly. Team boards should be relatively open, but with a zero tolerance policy on flaming and trolling. Most of the people who are shitty trolls on the SECr have no desire to post on the team boards anyway. That's why our board gets so little traffic relative to our fanbase's representation on the site.

Sad but true.

I just don't understand why some are so against it. The team boards wouldn't be turned into AL.com or the SECRant simply because access can be immediately provoked. And not every other fan would even get access to most of the team boards. Some of the Auburn poster's reasoning was "because he's an Alabama fan". There are some damn fine Alabama posters on here.
But, oh well, it is what it is.
I'm still in favor of some Alabama fans having access to the Auburn board, as well as some from other fanbases. I guess I shall remain in the minority when it comes to that, though.

The only way it would turn into AL.com or the SECr is if the admins allowed it to become that kind of a free for all board. Seems like people are failing to understand that.

Already suggested that to Ross. Yall need 3 before anything happens, if it does. Auburn board is schizo.

Our Auburn board is more bipolar than a crazy coked up stripper in NOLA

I think we need more mods either way, even without patrolling, he shouldn't have to spend that much time babysitting the board. That's just unnecessary
