TN had like 4 of 5 (of the 5 listed in an article anyway - could have been more possibly) of theirs opt out of the bowl game and now you even have players who haven't got general agreements with their teams on NIL for the next season even opting out of bowl games while they consider portaling. Bowl games are a complete joke now for teams that have some talent. You get a few top guys playing the bowl game if they have a year of eligibilty left and the NIL is big enough for them not to head to the NFL yet.

That is more than fair. We have a gimee again coming but after that we have a brutal for most teams, but very normal for us schedule.
That Texas, OU, Georgia stretch will be telling for sure, luckily we get a bye during that stretch.

My overreaction is that I am actually hyped for the first time since the Coktail Party in 2020. I bought my son and me tickets for Ole Miss and I’m headed down to the Swamp for the first time since 2009.

Ugly...he did not say only losses, just only ugly ones. I agree. do not think we lose by double digits in any other games at all. Georgia will beat us badlt butTexas who knows...could be a blowout or a close game...Sark is up and down so is Arch ans we have a damn good DC to confuse his arse.

I thought this was an overreaction thread? Everything I’ve seen here has been a valid reaction.
My overreaction is believing that our offense is actually good. I hope it doesn’t become stagnant in SEC play.
Never knew Philo has more passing yards in high school (GA) than:
Trevor Lawrence
Deshaun Watson
Gunner Stockton
Jake Fromm
He’s actually #1 in the state for all time passing yards in GA. He better be the real deal.

Philo played in 1A which is probably the lowest classification. I bet daddy told the coach to play his boy. It's not that special. He still needs to prove it against SEC competition.

I hope I don't hex him but the one thing on tape about Philo even when thrown in there at GT when the starter was banged up is he seems to be pretty aware in the pocket and doesn't ever seem to freeze up when their is a lot of pressure coming. I think one weakness he has is his long throws aren't the most accurate. I can't wait to see how he handles Auburns defense as that DC mixes it up a lot and definitely brings a lot of guys on many passing downs.

Against a bunch of nobodys. Rather take the 10,000 pass yards that JuJu Lewis put up in 7A ball. That's elite.

I think nice things will happen if we just put McCloud over top of their left guard most of the game. Neither of the 2 players they are testing there has much strength and they have even got planted in the turf by 250 lb. edges at Southern Miss besides Baylor dominating them which is embarrassing as hell for that to be happenng to an offensive guard.
