Normally I would say it sounds like twitter BS but I can't get it out of my head how forceful Condron was that Kiffin wouldn't be considered when Mullen was fired in 2021 even though Kiffin got a 10-2 regular season record his 2nd year at Ole Miss. I think people said he had also said behind the scenes Lincoln Riley wouldnt be considered to replace Mullen either due to personal life stuff. He needs to cut the crap if that is what had Sumrall acting like he did after the game. This is not a game for worrying about BS like that.

We haven't supported basketball as much as when it comes to recruiting and resources going back to the days of Billy D. Even after the back to back, he wasn't able to sustain that kind of success. Picked up recruiting wins on his own reputation. Elite coach but the big time recruits were still getting paid under the table and he knew it and has had private conversations which some of it went public.

If Golden had not won a natty, this team would have been broken up immediately. Better programs are out there with more dedication towards basketball NIL. He has a knack for identifying talent that's under the radar and he's another elite coach. But eventually this shite will catch up to you. He's publicly mentioned how this university will still value football over basketball no matter what. Sumrall needs the resources and it will divert next year. They're just asking Golden to rebuild and develop after this year. Not asking for immediate championship contending teams every year which is sad and pathetic. Golden is better off in the NBA.

No telling if it really happened but when asked vaguely about this Sumrall just discounted it and said it probably just came from his way of talking after a loss or something like that. Big difference from the Mizzu loss to the SC loss though unless it's just because he realizes he is in a deep hole with some of these players abilities.
