Said it early in the season... This team CAN get to the Final 4.

What do you need MOST in March? Good guard play.

We have the best backcourt in the SEC by a mile and it is NOT close, and yes, ours is better than Auburn and Arkansas.

White has the boys playing offense in the last 2 games like they did in the PK80.

That with the steadily improved defense? Watch out. This team will make a run.

As much as I love your optimism, due to the lack of any inside game, one bad shooting night and we are out. Good coaches with capable big men will pound the ball inside, score at will or draw fouls while tiring out our undersized defense, which leads to poor shooting on the other end. Now if we can knock down 11 or more 3s, that would be a game winner, but if we have a poor shooting night, turn out the lights, it's baseball season.

I think we can make the sweet 16. If that happens the season is a success IMO.

I agree. I would to see us play a smaller line up if we get pushed around and push the ball down the court. Stone and K are athletic enough to dominate a bigger guy out side .

I believe Saturdays game will be an indicator of how we will play in the tournaments.

IMO, we need to run and gun and hit a bunch of 3s and please defend the 3 point line on defense.

go Gators!!!

Need Knox of UK to be ruled ineligible for NCAA misdeeds just before tip off.

What a close to the regular season, 3 straight big wins. Have to be excited at this point heading into postseason play. Wish we could skip the SEC tournament and go straight to the NCAA's.

FWIW, we play awesome in the PK 80 uniforms. Wore them in the Baylor game. On the road at South Carolina, and now home against UK.

Great win, I just can't stand it when we go into stall ball mode especially when we see the 2-3, it's like we have no idea what we're doing on offense (some of that can be attributed to having no inside presence). Nonetheless, guys played with some grit today. Always love it when we are able to sweep Kentucky.

I thought he couldn't coach? I read that on this board.

A lot of people don't want to hear this -- but we get the long shaft of the refs a lot that stall the hell out of our game. We reached 10 fouls in almost 11 minutes and Kentucky got their ten 5 minutes after us.

SEC conspiracy for more parity? Sloppy play by us? I'll wager just bad calls being bad -- but it wasn't even enough to stop a double digit stompin' on Kentucky.

Just wait till we get to the NCAA Tournament with non-SEC refs.

This team will explode.

Was a good run at the end of the season. Hope it carries over.

My worry is 2-3 zone. We struggle with it. Someone can hurt us bad in the tourney with it if run properly...if we get that 5-12 match up vs a good zone team...shittttt

We seem to have little or no foul trouble in tournament play, and easily post high numbers of offense with ease outside of the SEC.

There have been some abominable, and downright shameful called games in the SEC though that cost us several games.

Basketball fans seem to be the most vocal about refs, but it usually works both ways and some of our players do foul a lot because they are up against taller players.

Yesterday I think we had 20 fouls and UK 17 called. But at halftime I came on the rant and the UKers are bitching about calls. Its like that with every fan base and every conference.

Its a fast game and some refs let you play on and some have short whistles...which really slows down a game. I think every foul called with a minute or less left in a game should be a technical to prevent the dozen fouls called. Everyone knows that the team behind in the score will foul in hopes of a miracle....its obvious.

Because in basketball it's literally okay for refs to completely frick one team. UK had the foul help and it wasn't even close for last night. We literally had our 10 in 11 minutes and they had theirs in 16.

I think the play on/short whistles is why everyone gets really pissed the frick off watching basketball. Because in some games they don't even get into Bonus+ until maybe the last minute (if at all) and games last night where they just fricked us raw and to the point where we can't get our real rhythm that was killing Kentucky in the first half.

He seems to have finally started to run the offense that suits his teams talents . If we ran this offense all year we would be SEC champions and possibly a 1 or 2 seed in the NCAA tournament. We have to push the ball down the court fast and take advantage of the other teams bigger slower PF .

tjv....wrong....it isn't something that HE has changed so much as the locker room had to get straight. We started our slide when some players felt others didn't pass the ball enough. It happens in a LOT of locker rooms dude.

It was when UK went to a 1-2-2 zone that we slowed down and went almost ten minutes with only 1 point....but the bright side is that we were WAY ahead in the score. It happens in football all the time...its human nature to get a little relaxed when you have a large lead. If you noticed, White called two time outs to shale the team up and get them some rest. You cant go full throttle the whole game and there isn't a bench in the country that can sub and continue a hectic pace.

Geez we won by 13 points and I think White deserves credit...no??

His lack of coaching has shown many times this year. He is a good coach, but not elite. He has struggled to change his game plan when it isn't working. If we aren't hitting crazy shots, we fall into a bad offensive game. All year he has not forced the tempo. It's cost us a lot of games. Finally..after almost 30 games..he starts doing it. Suddenly we look like we did at the start of the year when we did push the tempo. Made zero sense why we settled into a half court offense every game for 2 months.

Our interior defense has been fine since like the second week of the season. I'm more concerned with guys like Egor and Hudson finding their guys on the 3-point line
