Yet. End the season on a 7 game losing streak and get bounced by some shitty team in the first round of the NIT and his seat will be very hot entering next season. The one thing we know is that Stricklin doesn’t play with this losing shite. He realizes that UF is the premier athletic program in the SEC and we expect to win in every sport, because after all, we’re AllSportsU.

Unless we totally collapse next season he will get and deserve two more years...stop the nonsense about firing coaches....who can we get that is better....who wouldn't think that UF is nuts for firing a coach after going to elite eight?

Even he drops the remainder of the games this season he probably won't be going anywhere. We can't just fire a coach because his best inside player (Egbunu) is injured -- and a lot of people say it wouldn't change anything, but they're just flat out wrong. Egbunu gives us a better look at shots and a huge jumpstart to the defense -- our biggest problems are our inside game and our defense to the inside game. Igor just doesn't have the size and Gak is downright terrible. Stone's coming along, but White will get next year at least unless something bananas happens. Like if he comes out and says terrorists are planning to bomb his locker room or something silly like that.

He gets a year like Mac did and Muschamp. Fact is he doesn't look like a great coach.

As for who to replace him with.

Well.

Spurrier went back to coaching. Donovan may too. He tried the NBA...it isn't working out well right now. He could possibly come back. Anyone disagree with him coming back being a good thing?

No, I agree with y’all saying he’ll get another year but if things don’t improve drastically next year he could be gone. If that’s the case, hopefully Billy D has a change of heart and comes back home. Also, wtf is up with Mike White not recruiting any interior guys this class? shite is baffling

Agreed. I am okay with another year. But...wary on him now. Just not seeing him being good enough. So many games his decisions have been baffling. How many times is a freaking GUARD our interior post player on a half court set. Wtf are you doing?

We have five guys who can drain it. Yet we never run set plays to get the hot hand open when it's hot. It's a cluster frick in half court. I've seen Hudson hot and he won't touch the ball for four-five minutes outside of a screen hand off that goes right back to Chiz. It's like he has no concept of riding the hot hand.

Just have the team look like they have a little life and I'll be happy.

Not that I would turn away another interior player, but I think they are more important for the 2019 class. Next year we'll have the 3 guys getting healthy in Gak, Stokes and Chase Johnson plus Bassett, Hayes and Stone. We'll have some size.

Conversely, if Hudson were to leave with Chiozza and Egor, the only returning guards would be Allen, Okauru and Ballard. Getting Nembhard to replace Chiozza was huge and an absolute must. Locke and Keyontae Johnson are great additions as well.

Hudson ain't leaving.

Everyone melting already over next year's team is just being stupid.

Next year's team will really miss Chiozza, but the added size and healthy depth on the interior will really be HUGE.

I agree, it is hard to imagine. Just threw it out there because that talk exists.

No doubt. It's great to see Bassett making these late season strides. Gak had shown quite a bit of improvement too prior to his injury. We've got guys for next year.

Great job...not good job...totally humiliated Bama. Winning by 21 pts on the road?

That imo gets us in the NCAA since we have 8 quadrant wins and only AU has that many in the SEC. We have been pegged before tonight as a sixth to tenth seed by folks who make a living from providing insight on college hoops. I think if we beat UK and get another W in the SECT that we have a chance to be a fifth seed.

Any more talk about White as a HC is pure garbage. When you look at the injury situation and everything else..we managed to win 19 games so far and the SEC is tougher than its been in a while. Cant predict the NCAA but to get to the Sweet Sixteen would be very tough.

I believe it makes it 9 now, we were 8-4 going into the game. I think our tournament resume was actually much better then some realized despite the losses. Almost all of our games are Q1 or Q2 games. Our Q1 record is among the best in the country.

Absolutely. He has transformed this team defensively and has a depleted team sitting at 3rd in one of the toughest and deepest conferences in the country. He's going to be around here a long time, we have a good one.

85, some folks tend to forget that Billy D had some off years and of course is a great coach.

We have been blessed to have had some pretty darn good coaches before Billy, Norm Sloan (RIP) (whose humor was side splitting) & Lon Kruger. We had a bad one in Devoe who lost the locker room....not called Capt Ahab without reason.

It is one of the difficulties of following a legend. The new guy gets compared to the peaks not the valleys. Donovan was a lesson in patience.
