Miss State - should be a win.

While I agree with your post, this may be the exception

The Pirate is gone and State should have a chip on their shoulder. Question is old school underdog and team is first to NIL and individual players are first. I really do not know at this point but know if State goes old school this season they will pull some upsets.

If you want to throw anyone a blank check, why not Saban?

While this is an interesting thought

#1 I think Saban is less happy in modern college football that allows individuals over team control

#2 How would this affect long term recruiting

As counterpoint

#1 South Carolina used the HoF Senior successfully with both Holtz and Spurrier but fell back when they stopped.

#2 Since Utx has said they were getting Saban for a decade or two, the hilarity of Gators getting him would be awesome.

"We came right in after the rain delay and watched every single clip, and I think there was, yeah, I think there was opportunities to make plays, I think there was mental errors, fundamental mistakes. Yeah we just didn't have the ball, and obviously they kept the ball, so it got out of control early there."

That dude copy and pasted his exact tweet from when Mullen was fired. Granted, Mullen was fired the next day. He also predicted Lane to Auburn so...

How many times have we watched his teams get off to a slow start? I've lost count.

Unfortunately I feel as long as he doesnt lose the locker room he'll finish the season ...

Him on the sidelines or not wont change the outcome.

A&M barely survived against Bowling Green, looked dominant against UF.

Nobody said we dont suck.

Still, what is gained by firing a HC during the season? Not like we have a rising up n coming AC on staff that could do something

Imo we fire BN now, we lose Lagway and others. You do it quick when you can have the next HC ready to meet these kids before the sharks start circling.

Outside of giving a sense of stability in the program (which is a facade), do you really think keeping Napier till the end will prevent sharks from circling? Everyone, players included, knows Napier is a dead man walking.

Yes, firing Napier now would just be a move to please the fans. But maybe, just maybe, a change of face/voice/something may motivate the players to do something different. We know these guys probably won't win more than 2-3 more games if we are lucky. But at least a different, albeit interim voice may inject some life into the program and players.

Who's that voice gonna be?

Whos gonna call the plays? We have no OC
Only guy we have with any playcalling exp runs a different Offense and no way in fkn hell do you change schemes mid season.

Again, if he loses the players, fire him.
But if not, a change would do more bad than good at this point

Do you think changing schemes will be that bad at this point? Knowing that the current scheme won't win much more?

I do get your point that no one on the team can probably do it. And this Enos guys is likely a joke too. Goes to show how inept most of the staff is.

Defense is even more garbage. Do we just fire Armstrong at this point and get him out the picture? Hand it 100% over to Roberts?

We need to do something to at least give the impression that we haven't given up on the season.

Napier said in his post game presser something along the lines of "the change in environment was really good for the team this week"

This guy could not be more unqualified to be the HC at UF.

Yup, the booing from Gator fans wasn't as bad in Starkville as it is in Gainesville. I still hope that he is coaching week to week for his job. If we lose to UCFCC the win over MSU will be forgotten and the noise in the system will be deafening.

The offense isn't that bad if the O-line can protect and get a push.
Mertz has been very good the second half of aTm and Moo state.

No Matter what QB is back there if the O line can't protect it won't matter

This defense has been awful Moo start rushed for over 200 yards that is atrocious. And what does UCF do they run the football. I think they are 4th in the nation in rushing offense. Plus KJ Jefferson tore us apart last year as well as Arkansas QB. so this defense needs to show some pride this week!!!!
Or UCF might rush for over 300

I want to believe, but I just haven't seen anything to make me think they have it in em.
