Time for another melt from me.
You can have an army to recruit, but when the play on the field is in-inspiring you invite the negative recruiting. This is what happens when you lose 5 in a row to close out the season. This is what happens when you make Arkansas, who barely scored a point after leaving Gainesville, look like world beaters on offense.
Now you've got this behemoth of a schedule next year where there is a VERY real chance that we beat by all the other Florida teams, including ucf. If that happens, I don't know how you come back from that. Honestly, I don't know how you come back from losing this much momentum on the recruiting trail. Winning but haha hehe hoho. Good luck with that next year.
I would still love for this to work out and I don't doubt Napier works his arse off but this is a deeeeep hole were dug into.

And another melt. Why are there so many within our own fanbase that want to blame the fans? We are no worse than the fans of any other major college program. We have idiots on certain message boards that I won't mention that act as if though it's the fans sabotaging Napier. Complete joke.

Bro, our base is fkn toxic above all others. Reason I left twitter a long time ago. I’ve never seen another base go after it’s on players and recruits the way these fkn losers do.

I have always tried to avoid negative comments on players and for the most part coaches. We do have some of the worse fans in the country as well as some of the most loyal.
I wouldn't say that our worse is any worse than other fan bases but the negativity about our teams, players, coaches, administration is higher than most. Hense the term NEGAGATOR!
Some Gator fans believe that we are Alabama, but we are historically closer to being Vanderbilt. Like Shane Matthews says repeatedly on his podcast, if you take away Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer we are a middle to lower end SEC team historically.

I have no doubt that we have crazies but worse than other programs that are down on their luck? I'm not excusing the behavior but I don't buy that it's had any more than a negligible impact on the struggles of the program.
And now you've got this massive over-correction where some jump down your throat if you say anything about Napier or his staff that isn't glowing praise.

Our fans are part of them problem to many Disney gators allowing foley and the uaa to sabaotage and destroy the program without doing anything about it

Our fans are depressed because we have the ability to be good but keep stepping on our own d!cks. The really unhinged fans are
(3) UGA fans who won't stop complaining after winning 2 straight national championships. Also said they won't watch college football again/hate what college football has become due to Raiola flipping while having the number 1 class.
(2) FSU fans who tried to riot after the playoff announcement like after George Floyd stuff or January 6th
(1) By far the most unhinged are Bama fans who have murdered each other after losses on many occasions.

Gotcha. Personally I've been more active here recently because the other boards have been very tribal. You can't even say anything remotely critical (but respectful) of Napier over at Gator Country.

I never thought we were Bama, but I do think we should be a 9-10 win program with a title here n there.
Not sure I’ve ever said the words “This is Florida” like we’re some historically great program that should expect to be in the playoff every yr.
Take away Spurriers run and we got nothin but a momentary flash of greatness with Urban that didn’t last due to unreasonable expectations from idiots in our base

Like I said, take away Spurrier and Meyer and we have a history of spotted success. I believe like you that UF should expect to be an 8-9 win team every year with some chances at a title, but the truth of the matter is that we are far from that right now and may be for a long time unless something changes.

I don't know about that. I'm on GC, and the insider boards have been full melt the whole season. If you've even accepted that Billy isn't getting fired before next season you're called a sunshine pumper.
