1990 Spurriers first year. Upsets Alabama and gets blown out 45-3 by UT in Knox. shite happens. It’s what you do next that matters.

Yep this game is very big now if we are going to have a good season. I am sure Sumrall will be questioning the manhood of some players this week.

Hopefully, we can get back on track against a reeling usc team.

Urban got blown out year 1, it happens.
Need to bounce back for a big win at home.
Our Napier hold overs need to soul search this week because that quitter mentality reared its ugly head again.

Just get me an 8 win season and go crazy in free agency.

I’m very confident in saying Florida will bounce back here.

I hope so. SC might have some fight in them for this game though. The players know their coach is done if they lose this game to us

We should match up better with USCe as they’re a more run heavy team. However, Beamer’s back is up against the wall so we’ll see how both teams respond. Have no clue at this point.

Not so fast. This is a Napier mindset. Hopefully we corrected the mistakes and addressed it in film and practice tomorrow. Looking forward to hearing from Sumrall on Monday after practice. The friendly media doesn't help us fans when they don't ask the relevant questions. We move on a little too quickly from a game like this where a lot of questions are warranted.
Notice how the official youtube channel didn't post a postgame conference. Then our PR limited the questions and ended the conference in 15 min.
Can't take South Carolina lightly. Beamer is on the hot seat. Desperate team wanting a big time win from the coaching staff to the players. We'll still be ranked so they'll want that W against us.
They're letting Sellers loose with running the ball. Haven't heard much from Harbor but he's still a threat. Let's see if Stewart is coming back this week and if he is. Watch out. Bounce back game from him.
Worried if we don't adjust now that teams know what to do with our offense. Faulkner needs to get a lot more creative this week with the passing game. Open up the playbook. Get the QB to throw the ball quickly and get it out of his hands. VB3 should be ready to go. Be very patient with the run game. It's not going to happen so easily anymore.
Defensively, just limit them to 28 points is all we can pray for. I have no hope or expectations from the defense.

Atleast we can always rely on the Swamp to get us a W. Homecoming in our throwback unis.

Vegas loves us in this game. We opened up around 2 TD favorites.

And ultimately us talking about it in this forum isn’t worth shite if the team isn’t and media isn’t asking hard questions.
We can (and I do!) bitch and nitpick all we want but if the staff media and players don’t have that standard it doesn’t mean shite

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of our fanbase call our Gator media friendly LOL
Our media is full of a bunch of dumbos

They are passive aggressive and let coaches, Napier in particular, off the hook a lot with soft ball quesitons

Yeah I noticed that. Be careful gambling folks. Vegas is cooking the books on CFB this season. A lot of strange lines and favorites.

Totally agree. This is a week that was made for Sumrall who has taken up a more motivational CEO role. Obviously the players and coaches got a little too big for the britches. The players had never felt anything like that when it comes to a level of success and couldn't handle it. Getting kicked in the teeth can be beneficial in the long term. Sumrall seems to have the right attitude to get them to do fix it.
My biggest concern is that we were able to hide some major flaws we knew about in preseason. DB's in general, OL (especially in pass protection), and getting pressure with 4 on defense are some of the most obvious examples. Now that those are exposed, how can the coaching adjust. That is my big question.

Yup as expected with the media. Not a single question about Philo and the passing offense. Multiple questions about Baugh which makes no sense. Sumrall answering in a general way for majority of them except for a few.
Honestly get rid of Edgar. Injury questions also a waste of time now that we have injury reports.
Better get the W or the noise will get louder.
