Ok boys and girls, we get our chance to prove we are a top ten team. Beating the Plainsmen (as they were called by most many years ago) will stop any negative discussion of why we are highly ranked.

This defense has been playing pretty well. They shut out a good Towson offense with three of their best defensive players not playing.

Having CJ, Zuniga and Davis all on the field at the same time along with Greenard and the rest is going to be huge.

Just gotta play the run tough and keep the game close.

UF also has I think a really underrated passing game. No one is really talking about it but Van, Grimes, and Pitts are all tough match ups and that doesn’t even count solid guys like Cleveland Hammond and swain.

If UF can give trask time to sling it I think this offense can score on AU. That’s really the key.

Miss State was stupid early in the game with their playcalling.

Need to get Auburn's defense running from side to side a ton in the first half.

That helmut doesn't look throwback. The old unis were awesome. Some in the early years didn't have a circle, just a plain F on it. Then in Spurriers junior year we had a helmut only worn in 1965 that had color and a circle around the F.

Halfass attempt at throwbacks. Who makes these decisions? If you going to do throwbacks , get it right. Guess no one could decide on which helmet to wear. Pants and jerseys look ok. I guess Nike can’t make stripes go around the sleeves any more; again halfass. I also don’t like switching to white helmets against a team that wears white helmets. Makes it harder on QB to find his guys.

I know it's just a uniform but cant we do these throwbacks when we are not going to be the biggest game on that day maybe should have worn them against Towson.

I know these won't look as bad as Wisconsin's did (gosh those brown pants were atrocious)but why do it for the Auburn game

We should come out of the tunnel Saturday in the all blues

I really dont like the same color helmet...that has to be confusing for a QB when being pressured and making a split decision.

I mentioned that above, having played a little QB, you do look for flashes of color when being pressured, jerseys help, of course, but helmets do too. Whoever decided on these helmets never played a down or was saving money by using existing white helmets instead of purchasing new blue ones. While the rest of the uniform looks good, the helmet was just a lazy attempt at a throwback, along with the stripes on the jerseys that for some reason Nike can't seem to make go all the way around the sleeves.

I think everyone will say Auburn is overrated if we beat them but it would get us closer to a really nice season. If we win it pretty much makes the Georgia game for the east title. I feel good about our team minus the lack of running game and QB that hasn’t faced a good defense yet .

Only two days til we lace them up. I almost decided to go to the game and my wife told me I was crazy. I had free ticket in the west stands with great view but declined. Its hard right now with medical issues.

So its the comfort of the family room bunker...wearing my lucky polo shirt, visor and Gator gym shorts...with too many snacks....maybe some German non alcohol beer. I cant stand O'Douls...its pure water.

I toss and turn on the sofa, sit up, lay down and watch everything unfold. Won't be annoyed much by any early success of AU. Expecting a great game plan by Mullen to offset AUs defensive front. Trask will have to throw the ball quickly and since he probably wont be out of the pocket...just throw it at the feet of a RB or WR to avoid sack.

Derrick Brown will be doubled teamed and Davidson on the other side will be watched and may need to be chipped. The one good thing about double teaming Brown is he will get tired trying to bust through rather than avoiding just one blocker. Forysthe doesn't stand a chance with him by himself. If Trask throws quick outs he will have to make sure they don't get batted in the air by AUs DL.

Remember that if we start a possession at the 25 or 20 yd line...two first downs allows Townsend to pin them deep and they aint marching 90 yds on us. On defense we have to get in baby nixs face a lot and make him take his eyes off WRs and try to scramble. We aint A&M and our speed on defense is one of the best...so he might avoid one pass rusher but get nailed by another.

i'm still not feeling well about this game, but i'm hoping it turns out like the 2015 ole miss game. i didn't feel well about it and it turned out gloriously for us.

after watching some player interviews, it seems like they're in the right mind, but we'll have to see.

My GF got student tickets for this one. We usually don't like sitting on that side unless a night game. This new online system is annoying though. Still haven't seen the tickets yet. It does say wear blue for the game though. So don't you frickers come in Orange

I bit the bullet and bought tickets. Wanted to go to the game since earlier this year and due to a miscommunication with a friend who also planned on going, he grabbed his tickets before I did and by the time I realized it had happened, the game was sold out (I stupidly thought we were all going to try and buy tickets close together and didn't realize he did so prematurely without me ).

Went to the Tennessee game with friends and family and had a great time.

And been stalking the ticket sites ever since, staring sadly at the cray-cray pricing. Then finally two singles - but in the same section and actually same seat numbers, just 9 rows apart from each other - popped up for a less-than-astronomical price and I nabbed them. Whoever gets the higher seat can toss popcorn at the back of the other person's head each score.

I'm super-pumped. I'm the kinda fan that shows up early, wearing what they ask you to wear, scream non-stop every defensive play, and leave well after the post-game songs with zero voice left. Will be bringing it Saturday! And sitting where I've never been before - Section 23 literally RIGHT behind the goal posts in the north end zone. Stoked for that, band will be close so that's really cool, too!

We will be in early to. Not dealing with the student lines 20 minutes before game time.

We are showing up at 10 see a little of gameday. Walking around to see if there is anything fun to do. Meeting friends and drinking a bit. Gator walk. Then will be at the student gates around 2:45 to make sure we get in by 3ish.

Get loud boys, I’m in Portland OR but I will be feeling the electricity here. Plan on watching it with local gator alumni association.

The students around me are going to wonder how this middle aged guy is so freaking annoying

I'm purposefully going to yell things in old man language just so my GF is embarrassed. "Dang blang it", "What in tarnations", "See you later alligator" the whole game. Going to be amazing.
