“Today is a celebration for the players we did sign! And we signed some elite players! We have young men that were up to the challenge!!!”

He went off on Edgar.

Hard to blame Napier for those remarks. I like it…

He sounds like an idiot. He won't answer a simple question. Have you hired a D.line coach? Just answer the fricking questions

Reports are all over twitter. It’s pretty obvious that we have hired a DL coach. He said they will be putting an announcement out.

Did you watch the press conference?

One question was about the loss of two coaches and how we lost players at those positions.

“Who did we lose?” My jaw hit the floor.

The guys literally had to spell out the flips to him and that’s when he began his monologue of “we signed players that are standing up to the challenge.”

We did keep Lagway and McCray which is a shocker and those guys are top 10 overall players in the country.

Maybe Lagway and McCray actually stick around through a coaching if he stuck today. They could of went anywhere they wanted.

Myles Graham, Aaron Chiles, Kahnen Daniels, Jerrae Hawkins etc we definitely some good players. Yeah we got gutted but it could of been a lot worse.

It sucks, but I wouldn't jump off a bridge over some of these players that flipped.

Outside of a couple, none will likely move the needle as it relates to the gauntlet of a schedule we have next year.

It's pretty clear that Napier doesn't have the luxury of playing the long game anymore. He needs to win now. Getting experienced hungry players through the portal is how he'll get there (this year). Win 7-8 games this year, he'll likely get another. After a 8-10 win season in 2025, he can slowly start playing the long game again.

As much as we want to see success, his days are numbered. Only way that's gonna come about is through getting some dynamic coaches and hungry/experienced players this year. Signing 10 inexperienced 5 stars would be great, but another 6-6 year and he'll be canned either way.

Ufmatt actually likes the fact he wanted to celebrate the players that signed. He came off a little dumb not acknowledging the decommits on the D-line that ufmatt believes were a result of not having a D-line coach.
No one trusts the process anymore; we want changes and results.

That’s CFB in 2023 - you either adapt or you fall to the side in the SEC race and get negative recruited big time.
