I agree that he's going nowhere soon, though. And I did say my altered expectation for mid-season was S16 and 12-6 in-conference. I didn't anticipate that the SEC would be quite as shite as it is, but I admit that one might see that justification as hypocritically moving the goal posts

The issue is Forever and us differ in what we see in our program as a whole. He views it as a middle tier basketball program, so his expectations are therefore substantially lower. I think I at least view it as a top 20 job in the country, though not blue blood either.
So he thinks this is what we should have in a season, and that 20 wins and an average tourney seed is about as much as we should expect yearly, which isn't bad in theory, but the issue is a few years need to have much higher end goals based on roster(like this one). We disagree. No need to constantly fight about it. Beating Georgia certainly doesn't prove some strong point though so don't get your rational here. You just never stop with the bullshite.

Are we still spoiled by ‘05-‘06? We were nothing in basketball before then. Why are the expectations so high every year?

We should not expect a national championship in football/basketball every year? Strive for it? Of course, but to have that high of an expectation is ridiculous. There can only be one champion.

This team oddly reminds me in terms of wild inconsistency Caliparis 2014 team full of freshman.

Who thinks we should win a title every year? Not one person has ever said that. But UF should have good enough teams to go deep every few years, and be competing for SEC titles most years with UK now because our brand is stronger than others. He hasn't won the SEC, nor the SEC tourney yet. That is worrisome, and its because of the same continued issues each year.
No one wants White to fail, no one. I do not know a single Gator fan in real life or forums who doesn't like him as a person. Him succeeding would be awesome. But nine years is to far to wait and see. This team was one everyone said he needed to show out with prior to the season. It's fair to worry if they finish poorly.
Hopefully this team finds its mojo and makes a run. That would be amazing. But if they dont, then when does the levy break on patience?

Nothing. We had two final four appearances before 2004.
We also were considered a middle tier program till Spurrier. He raised the expectation. Now UF fans fairly expect a competitive team most years in football, and occasionally winning the SEC.

Donovan demonstrated the ceiling of the program. I don't expect every coach to be Donovan but I think we're better than having a second-round ceiling

Yeah the floor should be 20 wins in the regular season. That is on the off year. Not when you have top 10 talent. We have been getting the brakes beaten off of us every year by FSU and I know Leonard Hamilton. He is a fricking moron.
We are just a tinge over mediocre and that is not acceptable at UF. White has had plenty of time. I am ready for a change, but I doubt it will come so I will keep on rooting for the team and Mike White, but also criticize him when it is warranted. Be it good or bad.
He is a grown arse man and should be able to take some criticism in a high profile job like he has.
