What was the worst SC scandal in your lifetime?

I'm talking about the absolute worst thing you can remember happening, scandal wise, in SCAR sports ... during your memorable lifetime.
I was a a grown adult with a wife and children during two big ones, probably the biggest two.
1 - Pam Parsons scandal. LINK LINK LINK LINK
2 - Steroid Scandal. LINK LINK LINK LINK
Now, those were bad and those set us back in those respective sports for years.
Yet we've never had a bad recruiting scandal, never had a bad academic cheating scandal that I know of or am aware of .... and often times those types of scandals have very few repercussions over the long run.
We've run, for the most part, a squeaky clean program for years ... the hotel thing, that wasn't our fault, had nothing to do with our coaches, or players, really. Definitely nothing to do with fans.
Is it time for us to get down and dirty?

I was born in '90. We've been on probation a couple of times but nothing as serious as to vacate wins or anything.

That time James b holderman was indicted for money laundering involving illicit drug sales and was probably having sex with undergrad interns .

Me, you and Cockopotamus are pretty much the same age I believe..
Garcia's shenanigans, on and off the field, made plenty of headlines but I agree with the Wesley Saunders & Co./Whitney Hotel scandal being the biggest..
While this doesn't necessarily deal with USC athletics.. I think the whole Michael Phelps hitting the bong at a USC house "gathering" was a pretty big scandal too. It was right after the Olympics where Phelps had just dominated and was pretty much a household name. Then that photo leaked.. That was my freshmen year.. my junior year I actually became good friends with a guy that was at that little gathering. He had to get a lawyer and everything.. Tabloids got his contact information and harassed him. It was crazy.

Born in 1985 and graduated in 2007. The biggest "scandal" I remember was all of the drama at the end of the Holtz era and beginning of the HBC. The fight, the computer thefts, and all the BS surrounding Summers. To me, that was a pretty low point for us, although the Spurrier made us forget most of it.

Holderman and his payoffs to gay boy toy was a shite show if i remember correctly. I was young then.

What all happened with Holderman? I don't really know much about that whole scandal.

I want to say first and foremost he was terrible at his job. (President of the university) And he was a self loathing closet homosexual that embezzled money to live like a rockstar and to hire and lavish gift / hush money on to boy toys.
And just for the record, i dont have a problem with homosexuals, but i do not care for self loathing closet homosexuals. Of course it was different then, pam and holderman probably didnt have any choice (about being in the closet) but suffice it to say it was a shite show.

All the Garcia headlines have been the only scandal-ish stuff I can recall during my time watching sports. Haven't been watching too long, though. About four years now.
