I think we played a decent game. Conservative on the offensive play calling. I feel like we did not call enough short to intermediate passing plays.

Defensively I think it our guys called a good game. More to follow later in the post.

Refs: I'm new to the board, and I understand any and all shite thrown my way. I thought they were horrible today. Early in the game there were some 50/50 calls in our favor. Second half; holy shite! There were 2 touchdowns that UF scored with CLEARLY offensive penalties. One was deep in our zone so I will give up a field goal. That is an 11 point swing.

There isn't enough bourbon in the world.

I wouldn’t say conservative, I thought it was called amazingly honestly. Feaster was gashing them.

I would have liked to see DK 1 series.

Worried about Rico, he was missed today.

The rain didn't help.

PS. The Clemson fans in the game thread can eat one.

Conservative might be the wrong word. I think it was called in a way of either we Run or we call a deep pass for a majority of the game. There were very few short pass plays called during the first 3 quarters. Why do we rarely call slants? But you are right, Feaster had a great game. I like Feaster, I think he and Dowdle are very similar, except I think Dowdle had faster initial speed.

I am honestly really upset about this game. I saw two teams that were evenly matched on that field. The passing game did not show up, again, and we did leave plays on the field (especially down field in the first half). That said, how are you supposed to get a win against a top ten team when the refs are blatantly dropping the ball? I mean they gifted UF 14 points. I honestly can't think of a worst officiated game that I have seen. Tanner should really file a complaint, but he's probably still too worried about the hedges from last week to care.

Also, if the damn students don't stop throwing crap on the field, we deserve to lose. I understand the frustration, it was bad, but it makes us look like fools.

I disagree. People invest their time and emotion in supporting the team. College football is a billion dollar business and yet we have dime store officiating. I understand the passion all too well. I'd have thrown shite on the field too if I was in the student section.

Trust me, I was upset. I am an alumni, and have been disappointed my entire life by USC. I just think it's a bad look. People should be able to control themselves. That said, the officiating really was bad. Something needs to be done.

Exactly. I have zero issues with ppl throwing shite. In this case I only regret that the water bottles weren't made of glass and thrown with laser point accuracy at the official's heads.

How the hell does a ref miss those? That run had a 30 yard hold..it was laughable..

And the pick..terrible..

Saying that I'm excited bout the next 3 games

14 second half points awarded to FL by the officials changed the outcome. one single scoring play had two uncalled violations by FL. the other involved the worst offensive PI you will ever see and should be used as 'this is what offensive PI' looks like in film study for officals.

still doesn't excuse our staff's decision with the game tied at 17 --- to call a pass play 1&G at the F6 that resulted in a 9-yard sack by a CB --- after 8 consecutive runs/draws that moved USC from the C15 to the F6 without any resistance and negating grantham's called pressures. USC left a TD off the board and the FG to regain the lead was deflating after a dominant drive to the goal.

I was pleased to see McClendon discover the draw play in his playbook. I'm not sure what page a simple RB screen to Feaster is on, though - or if he could find it.

referees protected UGA at home vs UK tonight until the dawgs could do something for themselves. it happened at W-B today for FLA. now the SEC will have a Top 10 game in Jax in 2 weeks for the nation's viewership ratings.

I think somehow these UF fans are trying to make it seem like they were the recipients of just as many bad/missed calls, or that we should feel bad for them over bad calls vs LSU.

Me, I think potentially the better team lost today. I think Ryan had one bad mistake, and coaching we had one bad mistake , which could even be attributed to Ryan. If he sees that corner blitz we may score on a quick throw to Edwards.

Regardless I’m not upset we played a top 10 team hard. Our guys and coaches never quit. Just got to keep it up

The fans getting upset and throwing stuff didn’t upset me. They did what I wanted to do in that moment

The league knows how to protect the teams that "matter."

We don't "matter" to the conference.

We were having the same conversation after the Bama game as well.

Y'all really were screwed by the refs yesterday. Two of the Gators' TDs weren't earned. Muschamp did a good job of keeping his cool even though he was mad as hell.

I hope that my Dawgs don't get that chickenshit crew when we play Florida.
