I understand that part. I didn't understand the need to quit DeMatha and transfer to a different high school in order to do that.
Just FYI...just because I have a vagina does not mean I don't understand the semantics of football and all it encompasses.

From what I've read, DeMatha doesn't allow it's students to graduate early/mid year. It is a private school so they would probably lose revenue if they let students graduate early. "DeMatha Catholic, a private school, does not allow for early graduation, which has become a very common process among football recruits."

Was just coming here to post that. Word is Grimes saw through muschamps recruiting and realized we are a sinking ship while OU is an elite team.

Not surprising. He hasn’t exactly appeared to be a recruit who would be excited to sign with us. He wanted to go to Alabama and he didn’t get a chance. He’s had ample opportunity to sign with us but never did - now a bigger program has come calling and he’s gone.
I also love how 247 is saying it’s because of Caslen’s comments. Yeah, it was dumb what he said, but the reason he had to say it in the first place is because our football program is a shite show. And that’s not Caslen’s fault.
I pray we hold onto Doty and Lloyd, but if they decommit I won’t blame it on Caslen - I’ll blame it on the guy that has gone 4-7 with every resource possible being thrown at him to succeed.

This is a major loss in my opinion. We have lost out on a ton of guys that we supposedly led with this year. Muschamp isn't getting the job done. This is going to be a major issue next year when the talent in SC is way down.

the staff screwed this entire season up by blowing an 11 point lead with 1Q to play in the opener vs NC - and every player was healthy - including Jake until the end of the final play of the game. They sealed their fate when they shite away the Appalachian game.
6-5 heading into this Saturday's season finale was easily doable and the staff blew it. That's more damning to the football program's future than any words that have been said.
The "statements" have only provided a convenience for any recruit to bail that was never serious about coming here - and was putting off telling WM/staff.

Grimes to Oklahoma. Cited the media circus last week basically scaring him off. Huge loss.

Divorce is never pretty. Caslen should have kept everything in house but the fact is Muschamp sucks and our program direction was already there for everyone to see.

I'm pretty sure the media circus gave him the cover he was looking for to go elsewhere.
Even if he signed with us, he probably would've entered the transfer portal as soon as Muschamp gets canned.
