I agree with you. You do not have to have a creative offense when you have elite level talent. You can bully people around. I worry about our talent running an offense like BoBos due to those talent deficiencies. However, I do not agree that they are not trying win. Muschamp knows this season is his last ride if it does not go well. He wants to win.

That’s the point I was making. He had elite talent and good OL’s... things we don’t have. We need creativity and innovation.

I’d like someone who can take what we have and make it explode. We have offensive weapons that need creativity.
A name I’d love to see is Bob Stitt, his reputation has taken a hit because of struggling with Jake spavital at Texas state, but that’s a man that’s insanely creative and doesn’t have roots in any other offensive system

He’s known from d2 Colorado school of mines and fcs ranks as one of the most innovative offensive minds ever seen. Remember 70-33 years ago with wvu and Clemson? Half of the plays in that game that killed clemson holdgerson said came from this dude. I’ve watched a ton of Colorado mines fb when he was there, about went there on scholly, and the offense is so creative and fun that he just built out of air. He runs between 90-100 plays a game, only one or two formations, but uses motion and a lot of run and shoot concepts in the passing game that allow the receivers to run themselves open. With this guy, and his reputation across cfb is sort of a offensive cult guru, I think this would be an amazing hire. To see his style and his adaptability, check out on YouTube Montana vs NDSU 2015, it was the fcs kickoff game by itself that year.

Or watch this for his philosophy.

Just couldn’t see Muschamp ever agreeing with a guy like this

If muschamp wants to quiet the critics and show that he wants to win; and if he’s smart he knows this is his last shot to avoid being a career coordinator, this is the type of guy he needs. Hire Stitt, let him work, give him a year or two to get his system in place, and let’s roll.

what about Gundy at Oklahoma. a caller yesterday made a great point about him being co OC, qb coach, etc. could you give him the chance to run the offense himself

I personally would love to see Gundy get a shot at being our head coach.

I'm not sure why Carolina fans are hating Mike Bobo. He would be a great hire for Muschamp.

I don’t think anyone would succeed under him at this point

I’m hearing rumors saying that we’re highly interested in joe Brady from LSU. What would be the reaction?
This innovator stuff has really gotten too much attention. If you can execute the damn plays then speed of the execution is irrelevant. I would take an OC that can mold an offense that actually moves the ball on every down. Spurrier beat Dabo that way 5 years in a row. He kept the clemsux offense off the field with long drives and not in a hurry up offense. If we have a good OLine coach....DLine coach...and good linemen that can actually block long enough for a pass play to develop or stay engaged for a runner to get by...that's all the heck you need. If you get a first down fast..or slower..it's still a first down. I want an offense that works...it doesn't have to be fast....

Efficiency and adaptability is key, and that's something we've lacked the past 4 years.

TBS Board has multiple posts alluding to Bobby Bentley being our new OC instead of Bobo. The rumor mill is alive and well, that's for sure. Idk which hire would make me roll my eyes harder between Bobo and Bentley.

Same. I'm not going to get bent out of shape regardless of who we hire. Muschamp is gone next year unless we win 8+ games in my opinion.

Watch his bullheaded arse knock it out of the park next year just to fall flat on his face again the following year. Because that's how it goes for us.

Unless we lift the CFP champion trophy next year, don’t extend Muschamp’s contract at all.
