Scout double downed today, said basically that the believe it will be made official tomorrow, but should happen this week. Auburn insiders are still convinced he's going to auburn. Gamecock insiders on other sites are still expecting WM to go to auburn, unless that HCIW tag is applied, then they would think he goes to SC. We'll see what happens.

Did you see the thread on tSECrant started by LSUCock about Boom? Never seen him post in here.

The Aubies are worked up over his post

Clearly. I just wonder how serious he is or if he's trying to just stir the pot?
Posted on 12/7/14 at 11:49 pm to UpstateCock2007
He had to be just stirring. He did a thread Thursday or Friday on tRant with the subject Muschamp sweepstakes, the post simply said War Eagle or Gamecocks. It went 17 pages

He had ridiculously good timing because the "Done Deal" post was made over there shortly after he started the thread

Spurrier announced yesterday that no deal was in place and no coaching decisions would come in the immediate future (this week.) The Scout site doubled down and said it was likely to happen this week. We'll see what happens.

Too long not to just copy, this is from the guy who broke the Done Deal thread open last Thursday on another site.
I thought the part about not wanting to be listed as a source on Scout was funny.

Man I knew it would be a matter of time before people try to pit JC etc and I against each other.
JC flat our said my sources are simply different ones than he has but they would know this kind of stuff. Nobody on TBS staff will have these kind of sources nor should they and that is not me talking trash. TBS staff would have a hard time writing stories with my sources because they could hardly ever be able to report what they learn. There is a reason why TBS is the best site there is and we should all happy to have this opportunity to follow Gamecock sports. JC also says that AU sources feel confident so who know which side to believe. I get his point for certain. But here is why we should believe OUR side. Our beloved freaking Gamecock family damnit:
Fact: WM was in Columbia and came here and left right under everyones noses and we didnt have a clue. SOS and WM have been talking about this for some time, not just on this one trip. This trip was to agree to things and iron it out face to face. Grown arse men. On this trip it was agreed that the keys were being turned over to WM and whatever it took for that to happen would happen. WM wanted to wait until after our bowl game to announce and we said ok.
We offered to match AUs timeline and allow WM to announce this if WM wanted it. Opinion: I thought based on what I was told WM may want to get this over with so it would happen sooner. Dont fool yourself and think we didnt want a major announcement when everyone thinks it would be AU based on timeline and it be US. Fact: WM said he still wants to wait and as respectable as it can be, SOS is allowing the coaches to pad their resume with taking another job and not being fired. Opinion: I have raised money with Steve so many times and he is a classy dude. How do you not respect this from him?
Fact: Nothing has been signed but they have an agreement and I refuse to believe that can change. This is WMs dream coming true here Gamecock fans. And for a final recap at 11:45 at night on this fine Tuesday:
WM will be coaching here. Several coaches are looking for jobs now. Ward is recruiting for his job right now and I hope he stays becasue that will mean we are keeping/landing some killer recruits. We are loading up for next year because honestly Steve has one maybe two left in him and he wants that title. If we go out big next year Steve is gone. If its close then maybe one more but thats my opinion. Who can predict something years out. Who can predict something after 6 beautiful days in the DR. I had no idea WMs wife was so hot. Maybe she said I cant be that close to stepping in Flo every where I walk and there is far less Flo in AU. She could have that power over him I mean I would listen to her. But I chose to believe my contacts that are absolutely no closer to this situation than being WM themselves ;) So cheers to not being disappointed and having a killer coaching staff next year.
I swear I better not see this post on Scout as a story. I will leave it at that.

This whole thing has really become a shite show.

Who wrote that? Who broke the info on the scout site? It wouldn't happen to be one of Clyde Wren's sons, would it? Does anyone know?
He talked about raising money with Spurrier, and Clyde and his sons are the best in the business when it comes to fundraising.

Yep, i am waiting for Muschamp to return, turn on his cell phone, and then call Spurrier and say, "I don't know what the problem is, I told my agent, Sexton, that I was going to be the new head coach at Oregon State two weeks ago."

his screen name is Supaman, I don't know who he is, but I started a rumor that he was really one of the staff insiders alters. Haha

Clyde would kill'em if they ... I dunno, I seriously doubt it is one of them.
Could be this accountant I know who does a lot of fund-raising for just about all the coaches' various charities. I'll call him on the way downtown this afternoon just to see if it's him. He'll tell me if it is - we go way back and he is a frequent guest at the Cockaboose.
Back to Clyde though - I'm not sure he or his boys or anyone connected to Clyde still has enough inside clout to know that much about what is going-on ... but I was told flat-out straight-up that the story about Muschamp having been in Columbia is totally fabricated and never happened. Or, I'll say it again, if it did happen then it was kept secret from some very "inside" people ... it does not get anymore "inside."
As far as the other coaches looking for jobs are concerned ... well, I do know some things about that. Can't be too specific because it would give me away but I recently spent some time with a couple two or three of them and ... well, if they knew they were getting fired they sure didn't let on. I'm fairly certain that Everette, Mangus and Elliott are safe, and Bubba of course. Joe Rob, I'm not sure. I know he and Abby sold their house and have been living in a rental. She went home with the kids for Thanksgiving and he stayed here, for the ballgame of course, and with his daughter. Deke and Kirk ... I dunno. Can't read what they are thinking or what they've been told. They are both playing it close to the vest. Grady is the real head-scratcher. I've heard rumors. He's in charge of the secondary of course, but also in charge of the return teams and, well, I dunno. And Whammy is safe - if he wants to be. I've always said that the HBC and he were close friends - so it seems like they want to find away to continue working together.
This one is just difficult to call but I suspect there are going to be some changes, one way or another, and it's not mUSChamp it'll be someone else, but not Pelini. No one has anything good to say about Bo Pelini over there.
Something to watch, which I was told to watch early-on this season, is Arden Key. There has been something going-on there for awhile (re: the kid from Georgia). Georgia coaches and LSU coaches are claiming they know something and they are using it trying to sway him. So the question is, is it Deke who he's worried about, or Whammy?

Key is tied to Whammy, they are really close. No Whammy, and Key is gone. However, if Whammy is gone, we lose key, but we get Muschamp and Lawing...we could very well end up with Cowart and/or Jefferson, so that would actually be an upgrade.

Auburn sources announced that there will be no announcement tomorrow. Some radio station out there reported that Muschamp was going to Auburn and it was being announced Thursday.

My sources are saying that we are going to announce that there will be an announcement tonight in which we will say that we have no real announcement to announce that Muschamp has announced his decision.
I'm also hearing that Muschamp visited Columbia and Auburn simultaneously via hologram and is actually demanding that Spurrier and Malzahn must mud wrestle at an undisclosed location. Some are saying it's in Cuba. The winner will presumably earn the right to speak to him in person.
Stay tuned - this could get very exciting.

That was actually TBS's announcement last night.
