Sin and PJ have been the best players he’s recruited.
In terms of pure talent
One ended up as a draft pick the other is seeing time in the G League

I hate watching it. Its just passing around the top back and forth for a long time. I swear its like they dont know what to do on offense.

Frank losing out on Juwan Gary was proof that he's not landing players like Sin and PJ again.
But I'm sure pulling in a top-rated player from Latvia or Belarus should make up for it.

I don't care if the kid kicks kittens on his spare time.
I don't either, not really a huge fan of basketball as it is. Point I was trying to make was Frank has become a better life coach than a basketball coach.

One trick ponies don't have the type of hype that kid received

Reminds me of Shawn Kemp and Charles Barkley.
Both of these guys were legitimate one trick ponies unless you count murdering buffets, which of course murdered their one trick basketball skills

yes they do, his dunks were outrageous.
Have you also seen the social media hype these other two kids have gotten last year (Mac Mclung and Jordan McCabe)

Eh, both were legitimate threats inside the paint had nice post moves, hall of famer players, rebounding, and just psychical.
When I mean a One Trick Pony I'm talking a guy like Darvin Ham, Larry Nance Sr, or Daryl Dawkins.
shite maybe even DeAndre Jordan, although he's 7 foot so doesn't work.

Nah, gave up social media.

Yea Social media basically is now run by guys that can dunk or "jelly"
RJ Barrett who is far and away the best player in this class and the first overall pick didn't get nearly the amount of social media hype as the other guys because he didn't do what the people like.

It’s like we have a first year coach every year
Same excuses every year. I get it’s a tough spot, but damn
And to think we could've had Gregg Marshall.
And I'm with you. I get that players have constantly been injured, gotten in trouble off the court, or are having some academic issues so it's been difficult to piece a full team together... but how many years are you not going to be able to to piece a team together because of those reasons? If it is happening every single year like it is, there's clearly a problem at the top.

Anybody remember how the early schedule went the season we went to the Final Four?

I remember Thornwell missing games early that year. We got any Thornwell's showing up later this year? Not exactly the same situation.

Never could have.
He pissed off Mike McGee first.
Then he pissed off Hyman with his bullshite.
Ray Tanner would not even know where to begin with Marshall's ego.
Never was going to happen. Never will happen.
Marshall likes to tell everyone he's snubbed us twice already.
The guy has to be the center of attention.

In 16-17 without Thornwell we lost to Clemson, Seton Hall (in MSG went to that game, basically a home game for them) Memphis.
Not exactly bad losses.
That year we also beat a Ranked Michigan (Big Ten champs that year) and a ranked Syracuse in Brooklyn (i went to that game too practically a home game for them)
And a very good Monmouth team that won the MAAC and went 27-7
Then we went 12-6 in a munch weaker SEC with the SEC POTY.
The SEC seems to be stronger this year so I doubt 12-6 will happen
My predictions aren’t as good on conference record in hoops as they are in football so i don’t know what we will do. I’m guessing 4-14 or 5-13?
Only time will tell if the Wofford and Stony Brook losses are THAT bad, but those are one bid conferences and we shouldn’t be losing to them. Especially one by 20 at home

We have a tough 3 game slate in a row of ranked teams after Coastal and Wyoming.
Top 5 @ Michigan, Top 5 UVA and top 25 Clemson.
We can’t win any of those games shooting 28% from 3

And they really didn't miss a beat when he left.
Maybe it was Brad Underwood?

Are you trying to compare the ff team to this years team? Sin isnt suiting up anytime soon.

Cry me a river (the admin, not you rooster). I think the respective egos of Marshall, Hyman, and Tanner be damned when we're getting squashed by freakin' Wofford.

I mean he may be comparing it to them? Or just asking how our OOC was, which we only lost 3 (we will probably go 6-6 in this years OOC)
And even without sin we had good wins as well as "good" losses.
We lost to Seton Hall by 3 (in MSG, homegame for them) and @Clemson by 2.
That was the time frame that Dozier really elevated his game (In that time he was named SEC POTW). I remember around then WAY too early mocks and NBA analysts talked about him being a draft pick. (I actually remember sitting near some Seton Hall alums, nice people and they were VERY impressed with the game Dozier had, really thought he had the talent to make it (which he technically is but didn't get drafted)
I don't see any NBA talent AT THIS MOMENT on the team right now.
