Maybe if it was just for a quick tour and a drink, just CNB and you?

I'm down with that. 2 years ago it was just me and CNB so I imagine it'd be similar with the possible addition of Lew who is cool.

I'm not trying to take your picture or steal your SSN or anything, I'd really just like to take in the experience, maybe grab a drink, then I'll be on my way.

Well I offered Keeneland and Breeders Cup so I am old school enough for a handshake deal (besides I may have more to protect from the anonymity thing) but I did want the younger lad to meet you while he is still down in school there. I do have a contact down there tight with Dawn, but lost the email address when the old server crashed. Should have maintained a paper backup like I would have 30 years ago.

Cheese ... next time you're down here you're in. I forgot what happened last year? I remember two years ago we flew up there with a friend and did Keeneland and a private bourbon tour with a friend ... we buy a lot of Fighting Cock as one of our mixer bourbons so we were given a tour of the Heavenly Hill distillery, among others. That was a good trip but man it was jam packed time wise. If we had not had the luxury of the private plane and being able to adjust our schedule a little bit we would have never gotten it all done. Lexington is a great away game though ... wish I was coming up there this year.

Kid was down there at the game (usually goes to a CFB game or 2 in Columbia with his fraternity brothers) but could not reach you in time. I think you missed Dawn in Nashville because you were in the islands or some such.

If you flew private to LEX, pretty sure you went through the operation of a friend.

I think CNB has my email addy, so check with him.

Secondly, there are logistical issues. We are, without a doubt, the most famous and well known Caboose on the railroad. It's almost gotten out of hand. We spend $1000s each football season on catering and meals and stocking the bar and the refrigerators with beer and Liquor and mixers and amenities ... which is fine, it's part of the process, but it's almost gotten too big for the space. We conservatively have gotten to where 50-100 people come through for every ballgame. Upstairs and downstairs is always packed anymore - people packed in like sardines. No place to sit, standing room only. We just had a little meeting and we're thinking of ways to actually put limits on access without hurting anyone's feelings ... a lot of them good friends who always want to bring visiting friends by to check things out. They'll just show up and wanna come in and we always try to be so accommodating ... but it's gotten out of hand. And when it gets like this the cleanup after

This is no problem. Hire me as a bouncer.

I can vouch for all of these people. Especially CNB.

Rooster, still hoping we could throw together some little shin dig for us posters. If not during the season maybe in the offseason.

I am not sure whether or not I will be able to make it up to Columbia for a game this year or not yet.

That's me, too. I've got some feelers out about the UMass game, but it really depends on too many factors this far out...

I get it. That thread of mine sort of pissed you off. But to be fair Cock fans were insufferable to multiple fan bases in 2012 (for whatever reason). I think it was just 2012. Perhaps something was in the water in 2012. Dunno.

Hell, several fans of different teams said the same thing, but to be fair we all admitted that Cock fans were great in 2013 and 2014.

Regardless, I had to try. My plan wasn't to expose you but rather to simply say hello, see what a cockaboose looks like inside, and experience a great SEC football pre-game tradition.

I'll just hang outside, drink my beer, and take a couple of pics of the train.

Thanks for the consideration.

I formatted that terribly, what I meant was that CNB would vouch for me, which he might not vouch for you

What sucks is I vouched for CNB in the past and I've always had scrooster's back when he was rustling Mizzou posters (they're easily rustled).

Frustrating...

You said you didn't give a shite if CNB was on the Mizzou board because the place sucks and nobody is on it. I would hardly call that vouching. You need to tailgate at the wild wing cafe with the rest of the yankee trash.

That's not exactly what I said. I did say that but a long time ago (like in 2013) I vouched for CNB on the Mizzou board.

Hell, a long time ago CNB and I were friendly cats!

Well CNB and I have met before so he can tell rooster with first hand knowledge that I'm not a liability and can behave if let into the tailgate.

I don't know if CNB has ever met you before, but I was just pointing out that logically it's a little easier to vouch for someone you've actually met before.
