Just got off the phone with my Son and he said everything is A-ok back home.

We watched some of the rain and a little wind blow through on the video cameras but it looked like a regular old summer storm in the south.

My uncle is heading down today to check on his house at Garden City. He said structurally, there won’t be any issues but he has a ton of sand that washed under the house from the high tides and storm surge. I don’t think it was as bad as people anticipated.

Garden City got hammered and north myrtle beach had a huge tornado .

My company has a branch in myrtle beach and they said it wasn't anywhere as bad as anticipated.

Power outages the biggest issue in Lowcountry ...rain event/street flooding - but that happens every time water falls from the skies here.

That southern tip of GCB down Waccamaw drive where the inlet comes in behind it floods bad during king tides, much less a hurricane. My uncle’s house is second row and up on 12 foot tall stilts.

Still partially without electricity. No AC and it's miserable. Wilmington fared pretty well overall outside of the 73736636773 tornadoes yesterday. Id get one warning and immediately get another one while the first was still going on. That part was crazy.

Wilmington’s ground zero for Atlantic Hurricanes. I worked with the hospital in Southport back in the day and I swear they had the eye pass over them half a dozen times in 10 years. Place is built like a bunker.

I was here when Sandy hit but she was a wimp. Stood on the beach as she came ashore.

There is a certain time of every day that you can't ( or at least couldn't in the past) go across the small bridge in Garden City because it floods during high tide.
