He was a 4* ath on 1 service but is only a 3* wr. I wonder if this means we have lost out on Paylor?

Hell yes!!! Now hopefully that will open the door to other blue chips ( well the ones that don't chase the Nil)

Imagine if we could build a solid NIL. Beamer is doing well with less, if we gave him more he could really do some good things.

I will give the 411 on our NIL that came from the horses mouth. We are improving our NIL but Beamers prefers using NIL ( the big contracts) on current Gamecock players and not new recruits. It's going to cost us with some blue chip recruits that are chasing the dollar. Shane absolutely does not believe in getting into bidding wars for recruits and it honestly turns him away from that recruit. I 100% agree with Beamer. This is one way he has kept the locker room together and it gives incentive to our current players to get better. June/July saw us lose out on a few guys because of this but Beamer is not going to change nor do I think he should.

Lol if you agree we shouldn’t get into bidding wars for recruits then why are you bitching about us losing out on guys because of our NIL?

Both can be true. I'm bitching because we have led for numerous guys, like Paylor, Solomon and the wr that went to VT, and at the last minute we got outbid. I understand what Beamer is doing but the fact is South Carolina doesn't have the Nil to do both. Either you don't follow recruiting and what has been happening or you think we will be ok losing out on blue chips. Our class would easily be top 10 if we had the NIL other schools have.
I can be morally against the bidding wars but my business sense knows it's how the game is now. I said we were going to lose out on more recruits due to our weak nil and these past 2 days have proven that.

Changed Josiah Thompson to a 5*. I may be wrong but I don't know that we have ever had 2 5*'s in the same class

Daniel Hill isn't a realistic get. Trying to pull a high 4 out of non-traditional territory.
