Hats off to Muschamp and staff and our team. I call it like it is and have bitched about our program this year but fantastic game today. Lets build on this.

With Hillinski hurt (and I expect it's season ending), we might not win another game. But I'm going to totally enjoy this moment.

Let's not get too happy. Muschamp tried his hardest to Muschamp this game. Definitely a massive win for the players tho.

This. UGA heavily favored, highly ranked, in Athens. SC wins 20-17? This is a classic SC-UGA game and should be celebrated. We can worry about next week tomorrow. Just enjoy it today.

Also.... 3-0 in the new old school Garnet helmets. Just sayin'.

Sooooo...

Here's what I'm going to say. I'm new to the board so frick me, but...

This is the team that the sunshine pumpers thought was going to show up at the beginning of the season. To be fair, we won and lost, and won the game multiple times. Anyone that wants to be negative about it I remind you that UGA was #3. The game shouldn't have been close.

What I wanted from this game. 1: Keep it close. 2: Get the most rushing yards they have given all season. We exceeded both.

I still think Muschamp needs a lot of work as a head coach. He did coach very well through adversity, but made HUGE glaring mistakes (including that dumb arse FG attempt).

This was that SIGNATURE WIN

Where's the conflict here? You can be happy, and still see Muschamp is going to do silly Muschamp shite

We have to wait and see: with Muschamp's tendencies, he doesn't like to give out health statuses of players until 5 minutes before game kick-offs, but CWM several times after the game made comments that were positive about Hilinski's injury - making it a point to say that Ryan was pulled mostly because his mobility was such that he couldn't protect himself, as opposed to being pulled due to serious injury.

But Ryan was seriously hobbling around out there - hopefully it's just a sprain and he's able to heal up quickly. Either way, I doubt he'll be able to go next week against Florida....

Still, a tremendous win for the Gamecocks. This cancels out the UNC loss, IMO. Would like to cancel out the Missouri loss by beating the lizards, however....

...ya know ...at least the poor Misery U kicker hit the upright when he lost the game in 2OT to USC in 2013.

Game ball to Kinlaw today - and the entire front 7. Kobi Smith was messin shite up too. Wonnum of course. LBs has moments too.

Javon should get credit for Muk's pick 6 more than just a "QB pressure" stat.

but I can't get with ya here, man. That opening stinkbomb to the goats is gonna haunt us all season. 4-2 (2-2) and we're ranked goin into the UF game.

But, today's win in Athens stands alone. Great for Carolina Football. Gamecock defense played its arse off today.

As to Hilinski's injury; Lonnie said in the game thread that it looked like an MCL tear. That hit is exactly what can cause an MCL tear. It's hard to judge right now, especially as a spectator, and speculate how injured his knee is. Who knows what kinds of pharmaceuticals they gave him at half time.

Truth to tell, we are all going to have to wait until imaging comes back. Worst comes to worst, it's an unhappy triad injury (MCL, medial meniscus, ACL) and yes, gone for the year. At best, slight sprain of the MCL and maybe he'll be back next week, maybe not.

Tough to speculate right now. But with how the training staff was guarding him on the bench, I would say they are thinking mild MCL sprain. What the truth is...who knows.

Agreed. That was a heck of a game. I haven't been this happy about Gamecock football in a LONG time. Maybe this helps us in recruiting. I think we have to build off of this though. We can't show up flat next week. With the amount of injuries we sustained though, I don't know what we are going to do.

Muschamp's comments in the post game presser give me a little bit of hope, but we've all heard/seen Muschamp be less than truthful about injuries before.

The truth is we won't know until the Kid gets a MRI.

Agree. Who do we KNOW is out after today? Kinlaw, Sterling, and Edwards all came back in.

Sterling was cramping, and they said they couldn't keep kinlaw off the field in the end.

Coach's remarks at the end of the game were hysterical.

Yea, just trying to figure out who’s injured. Hilinski yes, but anyone else?
