I argued this point on CT the pro-am is a joke to use as our scoring ability. They play zero defense and I could drop 30 in those games. It all changes when someone has a hand in your face. We are not a good offense for 1 reason and that is Frank is recruiting athletes not basketball players. It all goes back to his miserable failure of taking advantage of the FF.

Getting DV on here is a badge of honor. CG, Lonnie and myself get them on every post we make.

Who actually plays in the pro am?
It’s not like SC’s pro am is lauded as this top competition
I mean when’s the last time we had a really good pro come out?
Gotta be Alex English.

The pro-am is nothing more than glorified pick up games. Think nba all star game with even less defense.

I understand exactly what it is
There are summer leagues all over the country that bring in top talent
The SC Pro Am doesn’t even make a blip on the radar
Even with the 0 defense I wouldn’t think the talent is really that good

I just wanted to know who all plays in it outside of our guys

Oh I know it’s a joke, and zero defense is played. The only thing I draw from it, is these guys have some ability to put the ball in the hole. I don’t think our half court offense does a good job of creating open looks

Frank’s teams have never done that
And even last years title game between two “defensive teams”
If you also look at the stats, they were both top 15 in offensive efficiency
They also both had 2 Lottery picks on their rosters but that’s too much to ask for

If that's the case, then I should be an general, and you should be an admiral.

Franks mindset is built on defense. Defense leads to easy offense but his offensive scheme is one of " hurry back on defense ".
I had one guy on CT say the Cousinard would avg over 20 due to his scoring in the pro-am and i told him it was ludicrous. No defense allows you to get into a zone but when actual defense is played that goes out the window.

Almost every single mens sports ,at our school, is on the decline. Its not even debatable that we are now a women's sports school.

Another game another loss. Northern Iowa beat us. A poor ooc record will lead to sitting home again instead of dancing.

The line is getting thin. 4 non-conf losses is the max, and you know UVA will spank us. Pretty much have to win the rest.

The Men were doing better when they had the Women’s support in this thread.

Blame IBG and his bitching for these losses.

The big 3 for sure. I think the other “country club” sports are pretty solid.

As an athletic department I think we’re pretty good in most things except the ones people actually care about unfortunately.

After careful consideration I'm going to have to agree with you. The women discussion had lifted up the men's team but IBG's sexism and ego wouldn't allow it and now look what he has brought on the mens team.

The same IBG that said we were going to have a successful football season.

All our men's team woes fall directly onto IBG.

I assume he takes responsibly for the sad state of NYC’s football and basketball teams as well.
