I said it last night to some friends, but I would just scrap Gravett all together and let Beatty get more PT. He and Holden are both better.

This team will struggle, because not only can they not shoot, but they can't create their own shots either or drive to the basket and finish.

That's basically frank's teams right there.
Even at his time at K State. One Elite Player and an Elite D. (beasley, bill walker, jacob pullen)

Last year for us it was Sin, this year we really dont have that one player.

Ugly game today.

I don't feel too optimistic about this season.

Hate to say it but a win over Clemson, a .500ish conference record, and an NIT bid and I think that's a solid year considering how much we lost from last season.

Frank's twitter feed

There are literally too many arse chewings to quote here. Scroll down till you see the one to "Stephanie" and then work your way to the top. Hilarious, actually.

The men are awful. We have no point guard.

This is just ugly basketball...
I don’t care how good your defense is, you can’t win if you can’t hit a shot outside the paint

Frank puts so much emphasis on defense that he sacrifices shooters in his recruiting

His best teams always had elite offensive players.

At K state he had Beasley (who might i add is getting buckets right now for the Knicks ... no clue) Pullen, Clemente, Rodriguez and then last year Sin.

I can’t think of our one “offensive” threat this year.

It was supposed to be Dozier.

Then Felder.

Gravett ain't a starting PG in a power 5 conference. Why Martin can't recruit shooters, I will never understand. It's like he's actively avoiding difference makers in the last couple classes.

Agree on Gravett. He’s Frank’s version of Eric Smith. Need to bench him and ride it out with Beatty so he can get some experience.

I don't think he necessarily avoids him. But he does seem to lose out on pretty much every high profile recruit he goes after.

I think Frank leaves after this year.

He needs to get out while he's still hot

Sure I don't want him to but this isn't a school for a guy like him. I'm still shocked he left K State in the first place, I could see him going to a school in the big east honestly.

I know he has no connection in terms of where he's from, but he seems to like bringing kids here from the Northeast.

Or shite, if Kevin Ollie gets fired, wouldn't be surprised if they take a look at him there.

Not having any inside info whatsoever, I agree with you.

He's built this program, and taken it to heights none of us expected, but he also is having a dreadful season that will chase away fans.

He may say that the support or commitment isn't here, and leave for a basketball school.

And I would not blame him

It's tough to do that in the SEC at a school not named Kentucky.

I think thats what made Billy D go to the NBA honestly. (sure the "raise" was nice, but having to deal with those egos over college kids and still getting multi millions, something wasn't sitting well)

It was a tough game to sit through last night. We sat next to a former player who was just as frustrated as any of us at our inability to hit a 3. But the former player made the comment that when the opponent is as hot as Mizzou was last night it adds pressure to keep-up from beyond the arch and that never works well.

Frank has been dealt a tough hand this year losing Dozier and then Rakeem. Now Gravette and Holden. I like what Beatty and Davis can do ... and it's still early. They'll all get it together eventually and we'll have to make a run.

Frank is not going anywhere. He's committed to being here. We've got to get the students back and get the rest of the fans back into a groove now that New Year's has come and gone. Our guys are still playing hard ... the big men are coming along.

Everything is going to be okay but last night was definitely rough. Can't imagine what it must have been like on TV with Mizzou as hot as they were. Their guards were just en fuego.
