The kid with the shitty, patchy beards brother.

Is that the kid that Admiral sent to the ninth level of hell?

No. Nick just missed his 8th straight game. He's our gritty, get after it, nasty, lockdown defender. Sucks losing him. Doesn't sound like he'll be back. Rumor is that it's academic issues.

Can you have a team vote to allow him to play?

Apparently it's fairly severe. Rumor that he may have had someone taking an exam for him, while he was playing basketball. Obviously not too smart.

Rumor is he could be done at State for good

Nick is by far our best defender. He can shut down most players period. If he hasn’t been back yet then I doubt it.

We can’t get an answer to what he did. He didn’t get arrested for anything so he did something else to get into Howlands doghouse and it’s been 8 games already.
Whatever it is, Howland let him sit on the bench during games but no play so it must have been something Howland absolutely went off on. I suspect he gone after the season in transfer unless Howland made the punishment harsh enough to get his attention.

You should know that MSU has not played that crap with players for a while. Croom, Mullen etc, the compliance dept and AD’s won’t tollerate it. It might have happened in the past but not for a long time.
Keep in mind Croom kicked off the team some of our best talent for cutting classes etc. That began a mindset within the University that all programs would be held accountable. Just the way it is.

Well, you started off well....you are correct that this stuff isn't tolerated at State. You are giving Croom too much credit, though. Croom kicked off Jackie's kids...but his, not so much. Hell, we had guys shooting guns on campus. That he was such a strict disciplinarian is one of the biggest myths in Mississippi State lore.

Our administration has proven they don't understand this sport. Then again neither does this fanbase and that's been since the beginning.

Speculation and rumor spreading is what this board is for. Concerning this situation, these comments seem to be going down a rabbit hole.
Facts-NW was suspended indefinitely for an undisclosed violation of team rules. He has been sitting on the bench during games.
The release noted no further information would be released until his status changes.
Speculation-Team rules indicate it was something done within the team. Had it been an academic issue, then seemingly it would have come over as a violation of University rules as opposed to team. My opinion is the suspension will be through this year but he will be back next year. Otherwise, I don’t think he would be practicing or even traveling with the team at all right now.

What could he possibly be done to the team to where he would miss this many games and counting. No, I don't think it's in coach Howlands hands here. He wouldn't punish Nick this long for some team internal issue. I think it's academic of some sort.
